Hilariously enough, for those of us that live in Cali, The whole electric fiasco was the catalyst that got the Governator in office.

Folks finally had enough of the stupid deregulation that the vote seekers put in place. PG&E couldn't charge more to develop more power plants OR buy electricity from other producers from out of state. They were basivally insolvent and unable to even buy power, so the state had to step in and sign contracts to buy power, and the various power producers said sure, we'll sell you power at this outrageous price.

You were the guy who came after me. Now I see you are ignorant of the facts. Go back and learn something about the energy crisis and how it was manufactured. Then reread what I wrote. I did not blame it all on Bush. I said Bush had a chance to moderate the screwing. But instead of doing what was right Cheney was secretly meeting with the corupt Enron dopes.

It is well known that California shot itself in the foot with their screwy energy plan.....traders took advantage of it....how much was illegal or legal I do not know.....

Was anyone ever charged or convicted?

It is easy and popular to have self serving PR statements by brain dead politicians....

Remember, CA is a state that is losing businesses by the thousands on a daily basis.....

The city of Houston is lobbying very hard to have Chevron move their world headquarters to Houston....leave San Francisco...

Of course you talk to the companies in the ENERGY business!!!!

That is how the real world operates.....

When the fifth largest economy in the world is involved you are damn right the president should be involved.

As I said educate yourself. Bush appointed the chairmen of ferc. it was ferc's job under federal law to prevent manipulation of the energy market. There was a moment in time ferc had a chance to straighten out the mess.

Besides now that we have seen how duplicitious the Dems with war and the Middle east. (Supporting tought talk against iran) and not getting us out of Iraq, how do you know Kerry would not have been worse?

Your 1st year poly sci thesis about the two parties being the same seems to counter your argument about the culpability of the people who voted for bush.
