Quote from WAEL012000:
I would like to apologize to you and pabst. I was rude!
But it seems that for us to ask for our basic right to live like the rest of the world, we have to kiss up to everyone.
We are nice to everyone provided that they are not trying to get rid of us nor are they supporting a nation that is committing daily crimes against us.
You have stood firm against the atrocities committed by the fascist South African white regime yet you cannot dare lift a finger in objection to the identical atrocities committed by the state of Israel.
You have to admit, deep inside you, you whole heartedly believe that the whole land belong to Israel based on your religious beliefs. Given that fact, I really do not believe that our differences can be conciled.
By the way, I used similar words in discussions with religious Muslim people, if both of you think it is holly then it is a waste of time for you and I to discuss it logically.
WAEL012000 ... first let me say that your most recent posts not only display an unexpected sense of humor, but an equally enexpected change of tenor - both deserving of respect.
With regard to yours above, I have to totally agree with you. The world does seem to have set aside the terrorist activities of the israelis in the '40's & '50's. And each of the parties' approach to their mutual differences based upon religious beliefs will for ever preclude any meaningful dialogue. In this regard let me express my full and complete endorsement of the US Government in its support of the israelis to reclaim lands ... "given to them by God" - just as soon as the US Government supports the return to Native Americans of lands also "given to them by God".
