I've met quite a few Eastern European immigrants in the U.S.
The common denominator between them, is:

Chicago's North Side has many Russians and it was very difficult for my ward organization to convert them to the Republican Party. They loved Democrats because as one old bolshevik told me, "in Russia we were communist but there wasn't enough to pass around. In America you have rich people so the Democrat's can get money from them." I realized it wasn't communism that those people loathe. It was the fact that there weren't enough Michael Dell's and Tony Stewart's for them to tax. Without having rich folk to steal from, communism is a drag.

I am surprised you know where the Middle East is never mind knowing that there is a movement by the name of Hamas.
Anyway, I am not happy about it but to my surprise, I see Hamas's Prime minister settling for a 2000 dollars monthly salary while the smallest corrupt Fatah leader has a mansion or two.
I am also surprised to see Hamas leadership working hard, against all odds, to hold every corrupt Fatah leader accountable to the money stolen from the Palestinian people.
What put me in a fit laughter tears is the fact that the US advocated democracy in the Middle East yet when the people of Palestine exercised their democratic rights, they were punished by starving them to death.
The Palestinian people couldn't even gain access to their money in international banks as well as their tax money controlled by the Zionist state and owed to them.
As a result, the proud and mighty people of Palestine were forced to ask for handout from every worthless mother Fuckers out there.
What is even more humiliating is that Bush calls a man who has 23 massacres under his belt a man of peace and congratulate him for winning two elections by a nation that celebrate such man's immoral achievement.
We got Bush's message loud and clear! Bush told us that we are free to elect whoever we wish provided that he is corrupt and submit to recognize a state that does not recognize his country nor its border and is engaged in mass ethnic cleansing, killing and destruction.
