the sooner we get away from BEEF

killthesunshine, I am trying to say maybe you have too much fear of all saturated fat. Before that is what the media and health ministers tell people, "Saturated fat is bad" Now new evidence say something different. So maybe you will hurt your health from taking ALL fat away when you eat? You like that cheese on the pizza. :D

the salmon oil, mentioned earlier is full of omega3 and 6 , essential fats, dont know if u know this sunshine but your brain is entirely made of fat, so if you get lean enough, your body will start eating the brain to save the organs

I think we've FINALLY figured out the problem....KTS has cut out all fat from his diet that his brain has been cannibalized and now he can no longer think straight! :D

The French eat only slightly more fat than Americans (certainly not even close to "3 times more")

You might want to look this up for yourself because the French do eat 3x as much saturated fat as Americans. Can you say CHEESE?

The West was not won by men eating carrots. It was won by men eating

BEEF!

MOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. A hamburger a day keeps the doctor away!

Quote from R. Raskolnikov:

Don't ask me, ask SCIENCE :D

Olive Oil contains natural chemical compounds which are very good for your heart, and its better to eat olive oil than to not. Similar to why Salmon, which is a very high fatty fish, is excellent for your heart too.

I did ask, here is what SCIENCE had to say:

Foods rich in monounsaturated fats
like olive oil are healthier than those
full of saturated fat and trans fats but
just because it's healthier doesn't
mean that it is good for you.

When scientists fed monounsaturated
fats to monkeys in isolated controlled
studies for five years, the monkeys
developed extensive plaque build-up
and coronary artery disease.

GIVE BEEF (AND OLIVE OIL) DA BOOT!!:D

Since when is Men's Health" an authority on anything :D

I want to show you something you maybe read (You are male?)
That magazine refer to the Harvard study. So I want to show you something different than Dr. Coconut. :D

"According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), consuming about 2 tablespoons (23 grams) of olive oil a day may reduce your risk of heart disease. Recent studies have suggested that the bulk of olive oil's heart-healthy benefits comes from good fatty acids (monounsaturated fatty acids), but researchers say polyphenols may also contribute to those benefits and further reduce the risk of heart disease."
