Where did I say anything about “enforcement” in my post? I was talking the lack of accountability and its consequences.
People who practice religion are wiiling to be held accountable to a higher authority such as God and their church group.
It sounds like we might agree that you can’t effectively force someone to not do what they want to. Whether it is abortion, homosexuality, drug use, or guns.
Where an individual’s irresponsibility hurts some else, the law should hold that individual accountable.
As far as expanding gun ownership to include “real tools,” I like your thinkng. I’m sure if Democrats were pro gun, they would have gun ownership for individuals funded by the Government citing “people deserve equal protection regardless of their income.”. However, destinction between these weapons can be made based on kinetic energy, friendly fire collateral damage, and whether the weapon is hand-holdable or not. Can someone take a bunch of handguns an kill a bunch of people? Of course they can. Attacks from handguns are more survivable and certain forms of cover are effective. Heavy weapons reduce the effectiveness of cover.
Roy Moore, as defined or as accused by the Left, does not represent the way most religious people live their lives.
Christianity and religion is good for this country and helps maintain strong communities and families. Those who attack religion are generaly serious sinners in the eyes of the Bible and live disfunctional lives while creating disent in our communities.
