Agree, however, i think the qualification here, and the lesson learned, is buy long term investments based on fundamentals, BUT the charts should not be ignored when timing the buy.
Also, the lesson i apparently still haven't learned, based on this buy, was never chase a stock up, especially on news. Something i need to work on.

All very true. That's why T/A always works near term.
So yes... absolutely... you identify the buys, and then you apply T/A from the charts on your entry.

And not just that particular stock's chart... you have to use the index and also its sector charts.
Always
incorporate the tide, both overall and sector specific.
 
I don’t pay too much attention to insider selling. I know someone disagree but insiders sell for all sorts of reasons.
It can be a 10 B5 plan sale, An executive may need money to pay for college, could be management of tax liabilities, and a myriad of other possibilities. Insider buying on the other hand is worth taking a look at, yes

$47 a share in cash, so At car and prices you’re basically buying the company for $91 a share or $36 billion
