The Debate

You want a one-way narrative and anything other than that is "unfair."

Like when they repeatedly call trump a "racist" with no evidence whatsoever? Oh yeah I remember, he looked into the birther controversy. Colin Powell said that makes him a racist. He thought the Constitution should actually apply to a black candidate for President.

Well I agree he is racist in the sense that he is a republican opposing a democrat. Plus, he has taken controversial positions such as our existing immigration laws should be enforced and we should do more to prevent terrorist attacks. Both positions will impact non whites disparately ,s o right there you have clearcut racism.

Do you have your echo chamber on the turbo setting?

The media investigates all candidates, and the Right Wing "media" goes the extra step of making shit up. The thing you guys don't like is when your guy gets bathed in the spotlight. You want a one-way narrative and anything other than that is "unfair."

You guys take issue when the Alt Right fabrications don't get taken seriously by the serious media and conclude that the media is in the bag for the other guy, when, in fact, they just don't want to be in the bag for your guy.
You miss the point, naturally. The question was what kind of person can we expect to jump into this madness? People like Trump and Clinton, that's who. Romney was, and is, head and shoulders a better candidate for president than either of these two numbskulls will ever be. After the misinformed attacks, the outright lies, the complete bullshit of the media assault he suffered last time, why would he subject himself to that again? The media wants a circus and a circus they have. The majority of people in this country are border line retarded and getting dumber and lazier by the f'n minute. The twitter mob is a fitting example of just how fucking stupid the country has become.
Once again these stupid fucks line up to be screwed. Getting hosed with the ACA wasn't enough to teach these morons a lesson. I can't wait until this stupid ass country stands a gasp as they get taxed into poverty, watch crime rates go up, endure more terrorism in their front yard all while standing in the unemployment line, and I'll be right here to rub their fucking noses in it. People this god damn stupid deserve everything that coming.

You mean like, for example, when Kerry got swiftboated? It's the price candidates pay for throwing their hat into the ring. Historically, the price has always been higher for Democratic candidates because of a well-oiled Republican smear machine.

Did I miss any other points?

The following:

"No one has more respect for women than me"

was possibly the pinnacle of absurdity last night.

Anyone care to defend that?
No, that cannot be defended. I can only point out the equal absurdity of democrats trying to claim the moral high ground when it comes to the sexual exploitation of women, especially in the arena of politics. JFK and his little harem, Head Doctor Bill, and of course lets not forget Teddy and his escapades, at least one of which lead to the death of his little conquest.

Yes, you're missing the main point. We are in a position where no truly qualified and rational person, dem or repub, would ever subject themselves to this media circus act. Trump and Clinton are the best we're going to get from this point forward, and the country deserves it.

What about Edwards and Weiner? Did they get away with it? Like, say, Gingrich, who cheated on his cancer-stricken wife in the '70s and still managed to run as a supposedly serious candidate for president years later? The Democrats have moved forward; Republicans are still a few steps behind on the evolutionary scale.
