Yup. Manchin is a dem who will go with Kavanaugh. And Heidi Heitcamp is a fencesitter who looked like she might vote against but the most recent polls put her ten points down now, so she will be rethinking that a bit. Clair McCaskill wants to vote against him but she is down by a couple points in the poll of late so she has thinking to do too. Might be able to get them defeated if they vote agains kavanaugh and then go again with the confirmation. Yeh, its a nasty game.

I suppose if someone put a gun to my head and compelled me to cough up my prediction I would see kavanaugh getting confirmed with an extra vote to spare, but if it were a trade I would not take it and just stand aside.

These Senators do not understand just how popular President Trump is.
 
Hugo Black was nominated by FDR to be appointed to SCOTUS. His confirmation sailed through. Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia concerning Hugo Black----

"Before he became a senator, Black espoused anti-Catholic views and was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, but resigned in 1925.[10] Years later he said: "Before becoming a Senator I dropped the Klan. I have had nothing to do with it since that time. I abandoned it. I completely discontinued any association with the organization."[
 
A lot of the problem with The Senate and how Democrats have corrupted the system has to do with how The Constitution was amended to allow for the direct election of senators. The Founders specifically created a system where the states would continue to have representation by having the states themselves appoint senators. Then The Constitution was amended and allowed senators to be directly elected autonomously thus removing states representation in Congreff. This amendment must be repealed if we are ever to get back to where the country should be.

With regard to the situation surrounding the journalist killing by The Saudis, you are now seeing how a real leader behaves on the world stage. Feckless, languid Barack Obama would have shrugged his shoulders and moved on. Mr Trump is investigating and will act even though we have a strong alliance with Saudi Arabia. Our current president acts correctly whereas Barack Hussein would not. ---for whatever reason. It feels great to finally have a great leader in The White House.
 
There are nuts on both sides. This bomber dude from Florida is exhibiting those signs. Conservatives including President Trump do not condone violence of any kind. We are not people like Bill Ayers.
