I read it wrong. I would have to agree with you on the fact that the Income from the Oil & Gas will not cover the entire debt in Texas.

Bottom line, every state is fucked one way or another.

This is just the start of the soon to be 100 plus muni defaults that people have been laughing at. Whitney was called an idiot by most.

Like I always say... Who Cares. Make your money. Nothing anyone can do about it.

The Depression is on Nation Wide and it will take a decade or more to get out of this hole. If we ever do.

Update to my previous numbers


Deficit is estimated to be 15B to 27B over <b>2 years </b>or an average of 8B to 15B per year with a rainy day fund of 9.4B

Much better than California's. If the economy improves, Texas may be able to close this gap. It doesn't matter if the economy improves, California is screwed and will need to massively cut spending

Socialism is melting down everywhere.. there never has been enough money to pay out all the promised things and now the desperate government measures to bailout [what they see as a failure of capitalism] has placed an even greater tax burden on the private sector that is further hampering recovery... even when we recover we won't be able to continue with the socialism, the people that can't do math have driven us way past the point of no return, the only choice is meltdown, same as when Russia collapsed... Socialism only works when there is other people's money to pay for it and they have reached into the unborn children's savings and borrowed from China and all that shit and there just isn't anywhere to go to get more money...
