Right and why can a fucking illegal get Medicaid for their kid when some American, born here, are prevented because they don't have kids. Deny it to all make it fair at least.

In Texas, supposedly the Hispanics were enthusiastically for George W. Bush. I never believed the percentage of Hispanic votes he was alleged to have gotten while running for Governor twice and then President twice, but the GOPers definitely made that claim. They also used to say that Hispanics were natural GOPers because of mutual agreement on social issues and "family values."

The good news for GOPers who DIDN'T and DON'T believe the Karl Rove line that Hispanics are now voting or will ever vote predominantly for GOPers is that in this state, is that they hardly turn out AT ALL. I think it's around 20 percent of those eligible who ever actually show up at the polls.

I'd be surprised if that 20% figure was even halfway legit.

Funny story. My Spanish teacher said the farm workers create their own nouns and verbs because they left school around the third grade to support la familia.

New Mexico had 50% Hispanic turnout in the 2006 off-year elections compared to 25% in Texas.

I can't find the turnout for 2010, but I am pretty sure EVEN MORE Hispanics stayed away from the polls last year.

when I was in Mexico City for vacation last month, our tour guide said "Mexico does not have a mandatory education system for kids, as a result most of the people on the countryside in Mexico can't even read or speak Spanish, they belong to 140 different cultures and tribes".

So when some of these people come to TX or CA illegally, they must feel like they are in Mars. no english no spanish nothing
