Another gain today. Still very disorganized. Charts not fully marked. Trading systems not loaded with latest chart markups. Virtually traded blind at the open. Had a good opportunity to reach the 86K level today. Will probably keep overnight holds at a volume level (400-1200) until the 87K level is passed. I don't want this level to slip away again. This will be the fourth kick at the can. Trading game has really improved since the 8 day loss in a row. Not to say it couldn't happen again. Just utilizing better risk techniques.

Markets headed south today. Since all trades are on the long side there was sizeable loss today. Still confident that the positions held have reasonably good entry points and will turn around into the black once the market pushes up again. Will be looking for intraday opportunities within these stocks to improve price point. No more discussion on organizational planning. It is what it is and right now there are just not enough hours in the day to be fully prepared. No more discussion on having a second account for hedging. That will come once the target goal is achieved. Took on some extra volume today contrary to what was discussed yesterday. Good buying points exist now but will the overall macro of the market drive everything south. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.

Crushing loss today. Hard to make money on the upside. Lots of negative global news. Markets continue to head south. The 6 stocks that are currently setup to trade are all moving toward a bearish sentiment. 5 of 6 have moved into the slightly bear zone. The 6th stock is close to joining the club. Overall carrying more shares (3000) overnight. Good positioning if market pushes up. All gains (plus) could be wiped out tomorrow if trend continues. Mentally preparing for position size increase. Need to remove fear of using larger volume blocks. Initially expect larger losses but eventually hoping to turn it into bigger gains. Also learning to manage margin effectively. The only downside is if there is an overnight market crash. The problem with the current trading system is that there is no defensive stance if the market macro turns negative. Therefore the wheels have been put in motion to secure the second account (hedge - was hoping to delay this). One needs to have the proper tools to succeed.

Another large loss. Using larger volumes one must expect larger losses/gains. Took the time today to setup the second (hedge) account. It should be operational sometime next week. Current trading system doesn't have a defensive stance for negative market macro. Overall prefer to be a longer term holder to the upside on strong stock. Position price points are improved through intraday (swing) play. The hedge account will provide this required defensive stance and also be used as an offensive tool if the market macro turns negative. From a management point of view one can hedge within the same account but psychologically it is easier to have a dedicated account. The trading system was designed in this manner. It is able to manage 9 different stocks (long/short) at the same time using 2 dedicated broker accounts. The fear of using larger volumes etc. is subsiding. Still evolving as a trader. Starting to notice a shift toward longer term positional play. Main reason larger profits.

Big gain today. Worked the market until 10:45AM. Was confident enough the positive news of late would drive the market for the day. Diversified positions (opened SBUX position). Reduced overall overnight holding volume to open up some buying power. Profit runs on HOG,APA, and OXY were unfortunately cut short. Wanted to reduce the risk and take the guarenteed profit. Will work on the dedicated short account tomorrow. Still lack a defense on negative market macro days. Will have another shot at the 87K level tomorrow. Will need some positive housing news to drive the market further.

Another gain today. Good housing numbers. Finally got past the 87K level today (account hit 88K at one point during the day). Have been spinning the tires just below this level since late August. Lucky to have closed out the CHKP position yesterday. It is down $6.00+. Repositioned some holdings today. Finally back on track to reach the annual return target. Looking for another good day tomorrow.

Loss today. Held onto the 87K level. Most of the overnight holdings have been sold. Looking at this market bounce in hindsight a lot of the holdings were sold with their profits cut short. Will need to be a little more patient when exiting the trades. The board has been basically cleared except for PEP. Will need to work the scanner/charts to find some good setups for tomorrow. Want to maintain this level. Will be trading cautiously.
