T-Cells . The dirty word/s to the forum's home grown vaccine specialist

So answer us one question...

An individual exhibits no detectable Covid anti-bodies from either vaccination or previous infection. What is the probability that they will have a T-cell response to Covid?

Let me answer this for you -- the answer is ZERO -- if a person has no detectable anti-bodies there is ZERO probability of them having a T-Cell response to ward off Covid.

This is why they use anti-body tests (and not T-cell tests) to determine if you are protected against Covid (the same with other diseases such as measles, mumps, etc.).
There is no hope for the Frog. I gave up a long time ago. He is immune to fact. When you look at the rate of hospitalization for the new strain (omicron is it?) for unvaccinated versus vaccinated the difference is mind blowing. If all those unvaccinated are counting on their T-cells, god help them.

T&B cells produce antibodies. They don’t “need” antibodies. Once the body has been exposed to a pathogen, if your immune system is working, they should produce antibodies to fight it. This is why we vaccinate to give an initial exposure that is contained, teaching the immune system what it needs to mount a defense, i.e. antibodies. Once that has happened the body should recognize the pathogen every time it’s exposed and automatically produce the needed and matched response. If the body hasn’t been exposed for a time it doesn’t keep making antibodies, this is normal and why you’re seeing the vaccine wane over time.

Current science tries to continually stimulate the immune system by repeating the vaccination process, in the belief that you continually need antibody production to combat a virus. Wrong!

From day one the concern was a “novel” virus.... hence we’ve never been exposed. Once you’re vaxxed or have recovered, you immune system should have what it needs to recognize Covid and fight it. It doesn’t mean you won’t catch it, can’t pass it but your symptoms should be dramatically reduced because your body now knows how to fight the virus.

Give your immune system a chance, like everything it needs to be exercised.
Pleeeezzzeee. Give us a break would you. Stop insisting on acting dumb. Look at the data would you! Hospitalizations for omicron vaccinated versus un-. And we all have T-cells!!! Even those with AIDS (they have too few of course).
Same thing re cases reported by the way. Be smart get your three mRNA vaccinations NOW! mRNA vaccines are one of the most important medical advances in years. Why not take advantage of the fact you're not in Africa. And if your scared to death of technology, then by god why not just get two shots of the old egg, killed virus vaccine, or whatever it is, J&J. It also works.

T&B cells produce antibodies.

Let's start with correcting the first sentence...

"A lymphocyte is a type of white blood cell that is part of the immune system. There are two main types of lymphocytes: B cells and T cells. The B cells produce antibodies that are used to attack invading bacteria, viruses, and toxins. The T cells destroy the body's own cells that have themselves been taken over by viruses or become cancerous."

Nope.... T-cells don't produce anti-bodies. Only B-cells.

Name a single vaccine for a virus which does not cause the creation of anti-bodies against the disease. Oh wait, there is none.

For over a year we had to put up with jem and other idiots -- claiming that T-cells would magially protect you against Covid even if you had no anti-bodies. It was all part of their "natural immunity" nonsense that these magical T-cells would show up and therefore we were close to "herd immunity". Obviously -- to rational people -- everything they pushed is pure bullshiat.
Cuddles says jem has re-appered as something else, but I figure he might be dead from COVID while he was waiting for his T-cells to kick in. . .

Jem's latest alt disappeared after being found out. His misunderstanding of basic immunology doesn't change some facts however:

read what I'm posting
or don't,
quite frankly my dear, I don't give a damn

Nope, I'm posting several studies prior, but you decided to hang onto a journalist's interpretation of things.

The YouTube videos do a good job of explaining if you struggle with reading

I do wonder where the captain is.

The inference was that “T & B” cells don’t (need antibodies as you stated) they are responsible for their production. They are the backbone of our immune system.

The point I was making is that once our immune system has been exposed either by direct exposure or a vaccine mimicking the spike protein in this case. Our bodies should be able to recognize the virus if it comes in contact again, and now has the ability to fight and produce the needed immune response including antibodies.

You just want to keep inoculating the individual over and over and over and over. You’ve got the cart in front of the horse.

....…

Antibodies initially produced by the body after infection had started to drop during this period. This finding suggests that T cells are needed for long-term protection from the virus.

“Antibodies alone can protect, including at relatively low levels, but T cells are also helpful if antibody levels are insufficient,” Barouch says.

Types of T cells:
There are several types of T cells that are made, which work together with each other and with the B cells to bring about a cellular immune response. There are helper T cells, and cytotoxic T cells. The helper T cells stimulate B cells to release antibodies, and also trigger the activity of macrophages, which literally consume foreign pathogens. The cytotoxic T cells kill pathogens that are marked with particular proteins and are very specific in their action.

Please learn to read. My argument is made either post recovery or vaccination.
