St. Louis Riots Follow Common Script

He was a robbery suspect and evidently assaulted the police officer.

Justified shooting. Next.

Not next - all those business owners who had their stores looted and burned can't just pick up and go on so easily.

There is that isn't there. Where do they go to get their livelihoods back? The business owners are the only ones involved who are clearly innocent.

However, if you are going to open a business at the "Florence and Normandy" of St. Louis you are assuming risk and your business plan had better account for that risk.

People in south-central LA these days have to drive 10-15 miles to find a grocery store due likely to what took place in 1965 and 1992.

If folks are going to burn out their local businesses they probably need to understand that they aren't going to have a Bristol Farms in their neighborhood with a Panera next to it. They are going to ride the bus across town and then hump a couple of bags of groceries home every few days. Gets old quick.

No next. This is just getting started. You must understand the mindset of the black community. Their angle is this guy got gunned down over a petty theft, which in the black community is considered OK to do. The story in the leftist media will be that this "kid" was killed for a box of cigars. Wouldn't it be better to just let that pass will be the question. This is assuming that the community at large even believes the police story, evidence or not. Many won't believe it and at best they'll call it a smear campaign. That, and there are still legitimate questions about the actual shooting itself. Was he really trying to surrender? Did he need to be shot a half a dozen times? Was he shot in the back? They just aren't going to buy this as a just shooting. Hell, I'm not even sure I buy it.

“We see that there’s tape, that they claim they got a tape that shows there was some sort of strong-armed robbery,” said Freeman Bosley, Johnson’s attorney. “We need to see that tape, my client did tell us and told the FBI that they went into the store. He told FBI that he did take cigarillos, he told that to the DOJ and the St. Louis County Police.”

We know the drill. I won't repeat it.

My question is why does the "community" erupt into utterly predictable rioting, looting, etc when some black person, who usually provoked a confrontation or did something stupid like fighting with or running from the police, is shot by a white, yet they are totally undisturbed by the nightly carnage of black on black violence?

The number of blacks shot by whites every year can be counted on your fingers. The body toll in Chicago alone rivals Iraq. Yet the only killings that get publicity and attract the race hustlers like Obama, Holder, Sharpton, Jackson et al are the ones involving whites killing blacks.

And why is looting a store owned by someone who had nothing to do with the incident the default method of protest? And why don't we hear the authorities from Obama on down denouncing these looters? Instead, the race hustlers encourage it. They foment riots, then demand bribes to restore "calm."
