Yes.....I do...
Let me guess. It is shown in your child's school.

Let me guess.....you cannot read the post above.
Ok all bickering aside...
I just think you are taking the issue to a hyperbolic extreme using the slippery slope argument. There is no evidence that we are proceeding down such a path due to the fact that people are removing Confederate statues or names from schools.
I realize you are expressing an opinion, but I feel it is still going to an extreme to make a point rather than consider the evidence at hand. The actions have not dictated the desire to remove and erase the history, but to remove the bestowment of an honor. There has never been any request to remove such images or history from museums or historical sites. That is an important distinction that prevents one from taking it to the extreme opinion.
My other examples listed were to prove that there is no deep rooted intent to remove or forget since the actions are limited to removing the the physical monuments from public spaces that are often reserved for other purposes.
The process already has a finite stopping point because no one, be it liberal, conservative or independent will tolerate further actions to remove the history from education curriculums, close down historical Civil War sites, or remove such items from museums. People don't want to go to a public park and see a statue honoring someone who would rather die than end slavery, but they have no problem learning about it and understanding its role in our history.
