That would make a great ad.

No ad will stop an adult from smoking, the ads must be directed at preventing the kids from starting. That slogan woouldn't stop ONE kid :)

You want to ban abortion the second sperm hits an egg but you can't define life....The supreme court can't define Porn but they know it when they see it...I can;t define JUnk Food but i also know that juv. diabietes and obesity have become epidemics in this country...and al you have to do is go down any street in the US and all you see is MC.Don, Wendy, BK, Pizza, ect....

walk down a street in Europe and you hardly see any and they are very thin....and they also all smoke!

'Europeans' have high rates of heart disease and diabetes so don't kid yourself.

it baffles my mind that someone who seems at least fairly intelligent calls for a ban of something they can't define  isn't this called 'irrational'?

I am a one a day guy. Seriously, one cigarette a day at 9am with one of my smoker buds on the desk. I do not ever buy a pack unless it is for him as a gift for letting me bum that one smoke. Nor do I ever crave more than the one cig..in fact I usually get a little ill if I have more, sort of like a built in restraining device. I enjoy it and it lets me get outside for some air before the NYSE open.

I am of the opinion that the absolute banning of anything leads to the banning of many more things...and that leads to more banning..etc...etc. Pretty soon you cant fry up some eggplant or chicken in your home because fried food is bad for you.

Just my humble opinion but adults should be allowed to do anything they want as long as it does not infringe on others personal space and is legal of course.

Off the top of my head.

Most are familiar with the strategy of "Take a deep breath and count to ten" to release stress. This strategy provides a moment to think, step back and regroup your thoughts. It is a coping strategy. Most people do not practice this although they are aware of it.

Lighting a cigarette in the time of stress, first requires you to take a deep breath, (as I mentioned), your physical stance, mannerisms, etc all change with the ritual of having a cigarette. Although a cigarette lasts longer than the count of ten, basically it provides the same "calming" effect or changes your mood.

Substituting a carrot stick, food, etc, does not alter your breathing pattern, which is what is lacking. Food is an oral replacement but is poor substitute. Hence, overeating when you quit smoking.

I never called for a ban on anything...You need to read before you respond....you were debating about definitions....definig anything is hard in absolute terms..I don;t know what the definition of porn is but im pretty sure when i see it. I can't define junk food...but im pretty sure thats what McDonalds and BK are serving

There is a slight buzz if your not a heavy user. Not really something you would do to get high. The taste is pretty nasty actually..unless you roll your own with some premium leaf.
