Not a bad idea. Seriously. And to discourage women from smoking, perhaps cigarettes could be made to cause bad breath, stain teeth, increase the chance of tooth decay, cause wrinkles and maybe even make them sound like old men with their smoker's hacking cough. Oh, wait. Cigarettes already do that.
I don't understand the comparison of smoking to junk food and if we ban one then why not ban the other...
Who cares how bad burgers and fries are thats not what we're talking about.
Bottom line, like it or not.... Smoking kills, its probably worse for your body than crack is.
It should NOT be legal to produce and sell ciggs.
BTW, I smoked for years and quit about 6 months ago. Best thing I ever did.

You're right. There isn't any comparison. The only valid comparison is that, it is a legal product. It is fashionable and without political consequences, to ban things, for the childrens sake, do it for mom, apple pie, because it's the American thing to do. All of us are now conditioned and ready to surrender...

I've just ran across this thread. What a coincidence. When I was
younger and full of piss and vinegar, the world was mine to enjoy. I smoked and drank. When I turned 35, I realised I needed to make some lifestyle changes, so I quit smoking and this in turn lessened the alcohol consumption. This is before it
was even fashionable to quit.
I have quit for 18 years. Was under the impression after 10 yrs your lungs would clear and it would be almost as if you never smoked. Wrong. I have been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and have been told I have a 15% chance of surviving 5yrs. Plain and simple. Cause , smoking. We have recently had a few young people take their own life, what a waste, and I want so badly to live. Those that don't take these things seriously. Get a life.......
