Obama can nominate Jesus and he isn't going to get a hearing or a vote.
The senate is just following the "Biden Rule".
Obama, Biden, Kerry and Clinton are all on record opposing SCOTUS nominations by lame-duck presidents.
They will be held to those views.
If they want to spend their remaining political capital pushing on an unmovable object I suppose that just means we don't have to fight all of the other attempts to destroy the country the left would have made in this last year of the regime.
