Ummm no. The major climate cycles have never been due solar output changes but were due to subtle orbital changes called Malinkovitch cycles and geological forces like continental drift. And even they they are no match for the increased greenhouse effect.

This is terrible news for Ham Operators. We need those sunspots to make global communications on the HF bands doable. When the sunspot cycle is high I can use a 10 watt FM rig on 29mhz and talk all around the world on a 8' vertical. Now what? I gotta invest in kilowatt amps, automatic link establishment software, big tower with beams? Those towers and beams are major league ugliness, I'll have to relocate outside the city to a hilltop farm and that's a major disruption of lifestyle! Stupid Ice Ages!
