Royal Caribbean requires Proof of Vaccination for all passengers -- Quietly tells DeSantis off

Planning a Caribbean vacation? Remember that there are now two sets of islands -- the MAGA havens that will allow in unvaccinated, maskless plague rats by the cruise ship load, and the others which want that proof of vaccination. It getting much harder to find destinations that accept unvaccinated plague rats however.

If you missed the news -- all five major cruise lines sailing from Florida now require vaccination for all passengers 12 and above -- this includes Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Disney, and MSC. Many of them exclude unvaccinated passengers under 12.

If you haven't noticed yet -- DeSantis lost his court case regarding vaccination & cruises.
 
DeSantis is still being an idiot. Just how many times does he want a court to spank his ass.

Now that every major cruise line is requiring proof of vaccination. And many banning children under 12. Does DeSantis really want to chase the entire cruise industry out of Florida and have them sail from other states.

And despite many of the passengers on the cruise ship being elderly — not a single case was severe. Thanks to vaccination.

Likewise despite people being on a closely packed cruise ship for days — only 48 tested positive. Thanks to vaccination.

Does anyone remember the early days of the pandemic when hundreds of people on cruise ships were quickly infected with Covid in days — with many severe cases. And this is with the original Covid — not the variants which are much more infectious.

Everyone on the RCL ship can thank vaccination for the lack of severe cases and limited number of Omicron infections.

To add to that:

The ship that pulled into Miami the day before left port on Dec. 11 with 6,091 passengers and crew on board, 95% of whom were fully vaccinated. Of the 48 who tested positive for COVID-19, 98% were fully vaccinated. Royal Caribbean said in a statement that the passengers who tested positive were either asymptomatic or had mild symptoms.


48 out of 6091....vaccination does help reduce the spread and severity of symptoms.
