2.The Dems won the Senate and Gov races largely due to candidates that are considered more progressive than Biden.Warnock,Fetterman,Kelly,Whitmer etc are far more acceptable to progs than Biden.I would vote for any of those 4.

1. Barely, it was the best mid-term result for a sitting President in 100 years - compare that to Obama's first mid-term election, the 'shellacking'. Should Obama have stepped down after the first term for it?

2. Democrats of all types got elected because of abortion, better progressive candidates during Obama's term (remember Feingold) lost. Fetterman and Warnock were up against weak MAGA candidates as well.

Obamas net approval rating was 18 points higher than Bidens at this point in his first term.30% of democrat voters didn't say they would prefer a nut like RFK or Williamson as president rather than Obama.

If Dems would have went with Conner Lamb in PA he likely would have lost.IF AZ had went with another Senima type they would have lost.(She turned independent because she knows it).Walker was weak but GA is still mostly a red state.If they had went with a moderate they would have lost imo.

We'll know with some pretty good odds next year at the 6 month before the election point.No president who had a disapproval higher than approval rating at that point has won reelection since polling begin.

The abortion issue is losing strength.We know Biden and Dems will not make abortion legal if Biden wins in 2024,especially since they likely wont have the Senate or The House. It doesn't help that Biden has broken most of his 2020 campaign promises and millions of dems don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth and he says he wouldn't add Justices to the court even if he could.
