The Fed may not be as wholesome as your local 4H club...

Assuming that's a correct figure, the realized inflation rate would be ~4% for whatever it is that the 700% is based on.. That's a plausible rate for something like the CPI over 50 years. It would be nice to see it closer to 2%, but 4%, while too high, is tolerable.. The problem, however, is not a 4% inflation rate, it's a too heavy dose of supply-side economics, and too little emphasis on the demand side, over the most recent thirty of those past 50 years. As a consequence, real wages have lagged inflation. This is a very serious matter. What's needed now is stepped-up demand side stimulus while reeling in the supply-side initiatives. QE has got us only part way there....
If you wish to speak about monetary policy and inflation. The cause of our 700 percent inflation in the last 50 years?
Yes I never was. Apparently there is more fun to be had in 4H than I imagined. You were obviously never in 4H.![]()
Nice example of what I call "YouTube Economics" . Kucinich is wrong, of course, in this instance, but I still admire his spunk and independent thinking. Ditto Ron Paul. My favorite is the Rothschild Occult Party, a perfect pairing with Ron Paul's deranged view of the Fed, as it were... Thanks for posting. Highly entertaining. The only thing left out was the shot of Bernanke praying over a pile on chicken entrails.dennis kucinich on the floor of congress explains the Fed is a private fed bank

I am a prisoner of my education. Let's call that "bias". I don't know any way around this.
Indeed. Bias is the hand maiden of education. 'Twould have been far better had I remained ignorant and unbiased as the rest. Too late for that now. The damage is done.
Are you admitting you're no smarter than Dennis Kucinich?lets review that bias.
I present case law saying the Federal Reserve is a private bank. Dennis Kucinich states on the floor of Congress that the Federal Reserve is no more owned by the govt than Federal Express...
and if you read the Federal Reserve Act you understand the regional federal reserve banks are owned by private shareholders (quote from Federal Reserve website... " For example, the Reserve Banks issue shares of stock to member banks.")
and that the only input the Federal Govt has is that it can appoint members that must reach a consensus with an equal amount of people appointed by the private banks... to change monetary policy.
yet Piezoe somehow argues the Federal Reserve Bank is owned and run by the govt. Its really odd how someone could wear such blinders and still consider oneself educated.
