Fair enough but the problem is that this wasn't a case of some offhand shittalking remark being recorded and then published in an effort to embarrass you. Griffin is a professional entertainer who has used this sort of over the top attack before in a pathetic effort to gain attention. She bragged about how she and her photographer put it together. This would be her shining moment, the day she pissed all over Trump and that asshole Colbert. She would be the number one Trump basher. Only outside her bubble, when normal people saw it they were appalled and outraged. Oops.

In a perfect world people would not be ostracized for such antics or for their political beliefs. It isn't perfect however and they are, provided they are in the hated group of white, hetro, male, republican, Christian conservative. We have a right to demand that, if that is the game, the rules be applied equally to both sides.

I doubt the left is calling for Griffin's head right now (yes, pun intended). I try to give people a fair shake, and find out most disagreements are from lack of knowledge on one side. The divide will only get fixed if people are eager to learn, but the electorate would rather be driven by "feelings" than knowledge. Especially tricky now where you have to vet the knowledge providers too.

This can also be accomplished when people start focusing on whether an issue is the right thing, rather than determining whether the issue is right based on which side of the political aisle it came from.

Sorry, I don't accept the "they play dirty so we should too" when it comes to political discourse. There are many issues that we can find common ground on and solve.

Our constitution ensures that nature and evolution can continue unimpeded by and protected by and from a government. It gets complicated. They need a whole supreme court just to figure it out. What I meant was, American culture is a culture that survives. There is no reason Islam can't survive and thrive just as christianity and judaism has thrived in American culture. On the other hand, it is very hard to hold together a religion in American culture. iphone or 77 virgins?
