Remember when the nuts on the left laughed about death panels?

I'm not the one hung up on fed or state run programs . I said govt theft which includes both. however a state funded and run program is better.
Federal govt stealing and apportioning to ind states to administer has the same moral hazard so I see little difference in your supposed distinction.
I suspect you made it just to be "pissy" in your words.

Oh since that's what we have now .
All you want is a do over.
remember"you're hanging your hat (validity ) on "we're gonna get it RIGHT THIS TIME ""
Fine , now explain how that's not going to end up right where we are again?

thanks
bye bye now

PS: What I'm ultimately getting at is govt is NOT THE SOLUTION.

No way to administer such a program without a large entity which would have the same issues at government in the end, with just as little accountability. The best one can hopeful is that at least if it is at the state level, it can't get out of control too easily as people can leave the state and go to a better run state. That competition would, one would hope, keep balance in check.

I'm assuming your way is no social safety net whatsoever? Let everyone die of starvation, etc., and just let the poor have at one another?

So link to the study that supports your statement.

Busted man LOL. From what I've read and considering I've never met one person who wanted to get rid of their own SS I assume it's a vast majority. So I don't know for a fact but I'd bet a beer I'm right.

Survey Shows Overwhelming Public Support for Social Security

Did you even read that article or just go with the headline. There were no questions about who should run a safety net, just that the SS safety net should be increased.

“The American people, contrary to popular belief, are overwhelmingly willing to pay more for Social Security, and that includes every age and income group, across party lines, and even Tea Partiers,” observes Monique Morrissey, an Economic Policy Institute economist specializing in retirement security issues.

The argument is whether people would go for a state or federally run program.

1) So you're going to fall back on that old liberal line of attack eh?

2) That's a fallacy of THE FALSE DICHOTOMY but of course you already knew that didn't you?

3) What happened to your whining here, just curious did you forget what you wrote? I mean surely a sensitive type like you wouldn't be trying to sneak in a jab of your own would you?:

Comments like "The fact that you can't see the difference is quite telling" or saying I'm whining and the like. You're doing this to get a rise out of me,...I no longer have the patience to deal with you on it. You're interested in scoring points, not debating to a solution.
You don't seem capable of not taking jabs. To me, that's one of the reasons conversations degrade on these forums the way they do.

4) Here let me help you out buddy.
