Remember when the nuts on the left laughed about death panels?

Do you have data that supports this statement?

I didn't do any surveys myself. There are surveys out there regarding social security.

So link to the study that supports your statement.

1) Yeah right keep telling yourself that.
2) Nowhere did I "throw shit around" or insult you in this thread. The histrionics are all yours .
3) If you wish to address my points fine do so nobody is stopping you.

The list of people paying attention to you will just keep getting smaller and smaller. Let me know when you grow up, and we'll chat again sometime. Have the last word. You always do anyway.

Votes. That's how.

How do politicians get votes? They promise or deliver something to their constituents. Pork added to bills. Massive new giveaways like Obama phones, expanded food stamps, welfare, etc.

Obama won by doing exactly that. Even though we are out of money it's nearly impossible for government to go in the other direction. If the giveaways and pork had just grown at the rate revenues increased from private sector growth we would be fine. But, politicians, in their desire to out pork the next guy, has grown the pork at a much faster rate than the growth of revenues.

Thus, all the new taxes and push for higher rates, medicare, fica, Christmas trees, etc., etc. and the massive debt. Now we are at the end of the line. Republicans want to step back, Demcraps want to keep it full speed ahead, much of the public wants all the stuff they are now getting and for it to increase. Others want tax relief.

We are in a box with no way out unless there is unprecedented private sector growth which isn't going to happen. Any moron should be able to see what's going to happen next.

Yes it's endemic to the system yet tsing seems to get pissed off that I mention that as a known historical fact.
And supposedly me mentioning it as fact is INSULTING and THROWING SHIT on the forum.

:D :D

Can't argue with any of that. Take powers away from the Federal government and give them to the states to manage. That's what states were created for in the first place - little laboratories of democracy. States have limited resources, AND competition (other states).

I don't know how to do that. The Feds, President, Congress won't give up any power.

Only a crisis/collapse bigger than the last one can force a change. That or a successful revolution. How else?

1)Perhaps but , it's really simple IF you had any compelling points to counter mine you would have made them.

2) Me grow up? I just finished telling you that if you found where I had insulted you in this thread that I would apologize to you.

The offer still stands.
Sounds pretty grown up to me.

I agree. There's no way to reverse it. The only thing I can possibly imagine without bloodshed is if states began to win big in court against the Federal government. Obamacare, immigration and the like. But with a corrupt judicial branch, that's about as likely as "monkeys flying out of my butt", to borrow a phrase from Wayne's World.

Oh so now you've changed you mind eh?
Good for you, you're getting there.

There should be charity, even at a national level.
Quote from Tsing Tao:

It must be controlled fiercely to prevent it from being used wrongly, but there is no easy way to ensure that the needy are provided for on a national level other than a national safety net.

I would have been more than happy to counter points you made (which were not all that dissimilar to mine had you just heard me out). But like most debates you get in, you start off with what I'd call incendiary comments that are unnecessary, designed to get a rise out of the person you're going back and forth with. Comments like "The fact that you can't see the difference is quite telling" or saying I'm whining and the like. You're doing this to get a rise out of me, and after the way you did it with the whole "porch monkey" thread the other day, I no longer have the patience to deal with you on it. You're interested in scoring points, not debating to a solution.

Scat and I had a perfectly good discussion without any of that. You don't seem capable of not taking jabs. To me, that's one of the reasons conversations degrade on these forums the way they do.
