Ok, let's look at the numbers :

Florida 11015 cases today, 110 deaths, overall 963 deaths per million ( pop 21.5M)
Canada 7519 cases today, 104 deaths, overall 378 deaths per million ( pop 38M )
Ontario 4167 cases today, 26 deaths, overall 285 deaths per million ( pop 14.6M )

As you can clearly see, even with purported Florida delay in reporting, you remain at higher levels on every measure, especially compared to Ontario. To put it in stark terms, if Florida had the same Covid death rate as Ontario, there would be 14,577 more people alive in Florida today.

In North Carolina statewide it appears that only 60% to 70% of people follow the mask mandate. I expect that California is seeing similar or worse compliance.

There is no evidence of outdoor spread when you are just passing by. Check the October 13 medicalexpress.com article. Outdoor transmission is extremely rare and limited to almost indoors type crowded settings.

Endless streams of anecdotal videos of people not wearing masks. I assume those are the people who got covid or spread covid, right? Any endless streams of evidence of that? Or how about endless streams of evidence that shows mask wearers are still catching covid? Your estimates of 60-70% are utterly meaningless.

Ah. So we can now compare a state with ~66 thousand square miles and 21.5M people to a country with ~3.9 million miles and this is an "apples to apples" comparison in population density, which is an obvious factor in the behavior of viruses. How convenient for you!

The point of my posting is that Canada is seeing a massive surge in cases. If lockdowns worked, if Canada was doing the right thing, why the surge?

The answer is simple. Viruses are going to be caught by people and spread accordingly no matter what you pretend your solution is.

You people are unreal with how you view the world.
