a. I am stating barriers to transmission... may not really be barriers because even the labs... state that they have to seal the masks down because otherwise it goes out the side...

b. dirty masks which people touch could cause far more problems than clean masks save because masks may only be clean for a few minutes.

You don’t need a lockdown to destroy the economy when 800,000 plus people are filing for unemployment every week because Covid is spreading like wildfire.

We won’t have a healthy economy while Covid is spreading. As transmission goes up, unemployment goes up. It’s observable because it’s real.

Whats amazing is that there are actually people arguing against the utility of wearing masks -- the most cost effective and virtually effortless measure imaginable to reduce the chances of spreading or contracting airborne, viral illnesses. They persist despite our observation that in densely populated countries with a tradition of wearing a mask when ill, and where in the current pandemic mask wearing was early, automatic, and universal, the transmission of the virus was stopped and the number of infections per capita are a tiny fraction of what it is in countries where mask wearing was haphazard and irregular.

Those same, amazingly illogical people are pointing out that anecdotal evidence is being used to support mask wearing, although they themselves are using anecdotal evidence to argue that masks are ineffective!

This is bizarre. Yet not half so bizarre as attempting to make something wholly scientific and medically sound into an assault on their freedom. What they are doing by throwing reason out the window is exercising the most innate and universal of all our human freedoms, "the freedom from reason" ; a freedom which no society, no matter how repressive, has ever succeeded in banishing.

It could have been a situation where the hard hit places no longer could be hit as hard.
We saw cities get slammed and then later the center of the country.
