Pence vs Kaine

Gaffes like this are unforgivable.

Mike Pence Thanks Fake University During Debate, Twitter Goes Wild

Many expected Tuesday night’s vice presidential debates to be a pretty boring affair. So when Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) used his opening lines to thank “Norwood University” for their “wonderful hospitality,” debate watchers went wild on Twitter.

That’s because Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia was hosting the debate, not Norwood U ― which doesn’t exist.

Fact-checkers and debate-watchers, including students of the real host university (which was, as a reminder to Pence, Longwood University), did not go easy on the governor for making the glaring mistake five minutes into the debate.

Some people said the debate was immediately over after the mixup. Others suggested that Norwood was a rebranded version of Trump University. The mistake even inspired a new wave of students to “apply” to the imaginary college.
Actually, I think it's only fitting that Pence would defend a fictitious candidate at a fictional university.

As I have stated my opinion before: The problem with the Republican party is that there are so many Jesus loving freaks that gravitate to that party, and that once you have convinced yourself that there is an all powerful man sporting a white beard living in the clouds watching what you do with your genitals, uh, what other facts could possibly make a difference after that? Once you have broken down, brainwashed and hacked your higher level functions in your brain to such an extreme?

Republicans need to stop with putting God first and country second. To me the single most important moment of any debate in history maybe occurred last night, and it is at the heart of all problems of progress and at the heart of the division in this country:

Switch the order of God and county, to country then God. The constitution is above God. Only then you can start educating your kids to think, and then the divide with reasonable people will begin to narrow and even collapse. When will this happen? I am a pessimist: When the entire current generation of these Jesus lovers people die off.

1. and cnn said that the poll was democrat heavy because more democrats were watching the debate. Kudos to CNN for admitting that.

2. Nitro... talk about binders. In your overwhelming dislike of some things Christian you take a group of Christians and project specious generalizations. Do you not realize that the country founded by vast majority of Christians and a few Deists.. That they created the constitution which does put Country first and protects others from the dictates of those who think they know what God wants or even that they know better than the voters.

Although many of us are Christian... its is many of the Christian of this country who are so steadfast in our support of the constitution. We don't support the constitution because we want to impose Christianity on you. We want you and others to not be able to impose your version of what is right on us or anybody else.

For instance... abortion. The correct stance as an American who believes in the will of the majority is that States should be voting on it. When you say abortion must be legal or abortion must be illegal... you are in my opinion aggressively infringing on my rights and you are imposing your "religious or non religious" views on others.

If you are going to rip Christians you got to get the stick out of your own eyes and leave these decisions up to the majority of the voters. You can't just you see things correctly because you are lefty.

As americans you have no greater access to the perfect forms than I and the left has not greater views of what is correct for Americans than the right. Take the courts out of it and leave it up for a vote.

CNN poll has it 48-42 Pence

the short conclusion drawn from this thread is hearts and minds were not changed as a result of this debate

did you believe Frank luntz' focus groups on fox?
no group of unbiased sentient beings would come out at more more that 50% for kaine. that was staged garbage.

even many paid biased media people like chris mathews and others at cnn and msnbc gave the win to Kaine.

But the fact you would make that ridiculous argument twice on one thread is why I compared Kaine to you. No credibility and no concern for it.

Not according to the focus group of undecided voters. They preferred him overwhelmingly.
