Expecting Pence to stick strictly to the issues. If Pence cannot show Trump how to add substance to his debating and get away from the personal attacks and instead attack the Democrats on substance, Trump campaign is dunzo.

Mike Pence won the vice presidential debate before it happened, according to a post on the Republican National Committee's website.

The page seen around 7:20 p.m. ET declared Indiana Gov. Pence "the clear winner" of the vice presidential debate against Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia. The debate starts at 9 p.m. ET.

After Cruz picked his VP before winning the nomination and Trump picked Christie to lead his White House transition team nothing from this party surprises me anymore.
