There certainly is enough "there" there and Lindsay Graham has threatened an investigation. Let's see if he can set aside McCain's balls any further and actually have one. So far, he's a lot of hot air and not so much action.
These questions in the Senate are the biggest waste of time. They are planned and scripted and are being asked to simply make their side repeat a point not to ask a true question. Who thought of this shit.

No. Not voting to convict. I was referring to Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Mitt Romney voting for more witnesses. What I do not understand is they would bend to Democrats demands but, probably, not call Joe Biden and Hunter Biden as witnesses. They should have the common sense and fairness to call witnesses on both sides if majority of Senators really want that. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Josh Hawley have said they will put Joe Biden, Hunter Biden to the stand as witnesses and give Trump attorneys equal rights to call witnesses. Ted Cruz said, the one sided way House members conducted their hearings denying President Donald Trump his rights will not be allowed in the Senate.
Bolton might not even make it to the witness stand because his book is at the heart of it. National Security Council in a letter to Bolton's attorney said he put a lot of classified material in his book. National Security Council said if John Bolton wants to publish his book, he has to delete all classified material in it. I imagine executive privilege will be asserted by Trump lawyers too on top of that. Remember too that John Bolton the first time Democrats subpoenaed him, refused. He now can claim that he cannot talk about classified information as instructed by the National Security Council. So, Bolton has an easy out and Democrats cannot force him to talk even.
Yeh, best thing is just to put an end to this charade.
There is no limit to how many scenarios, workarounds, and games that can be devised. Your point about the national security issues being separate from the executive privilege issues is well taken. But the dems have some kind of Rube Goldberg solution to each Rube Goldberg move they want to make. Some of them are proposing that Bolton can be deposed offline by a subset of senators who have the security clearance needed to hear his testimony.
Shut er down. Or just keep the process open and the Senators in DC until the dems are ready to shut er down. No one needs to have any sympathy for the dems, they will have another scam going almost immediately after this scam is concluded. We have gone from the Mueller scam, the the Nadler Committee scam because Mueller didn't deliver, to the Ukranian scam because the Nadler Committee couldn't deliver on the Mueller scam.

My point is the questions portion is 3 more days of not needed...get to the witness issue and then focus on closing.
Agreed----I was just pointing out that none of it was necessary as it adds legitimacy to an illegitimate action.
Before this "trial" started, I said that this thing would get so boring that "people would be wanting to bring in Hunter's stripper baby mamma for some halftime entertainment" just to mix it up a little.
Just giving y'all fair notice that I have reached that point.
