Only 16% of Californians Can Afford to Buy a Home

California is supposed to have some of the best weather in the country, lots of sunshine, same warm temperature throughout the whole year with no hurricanes or tornadoes. Can't believe the state is going to the dogs. The most ridiculous thing is its laws permitting squatting. How can you permit somebody to just invade people's private homes just because there is nobody in them? That's breaking and entering to the highest degree and yet it's permitted by law!

Most states have squatter's laws and squatter's rights. It just a matter of how many years. In California, squatters get possession of the property after 5 years. In Florida it is 7 years. In Texas 10 years.

The decade long hatched plan comes slowly to fruition, to build a walled and segregated community for the ultra rich to play in. That is how the original founders had it all envisioned. Winner takes all society. No room for losers. They already installed an ultra left wing government that implements all the crazy ideas so that gay and Trans actors and billionaires don't have to feel left out anymore. Just make sure the poor gays with aids and STDs leave the state first before the games can begin.

The poor are ferried to Kentucky and Missouri I guess?
This is so true. I live in the SF bay area and your top paragraph sums up most of the wealthy neighborhoods like in Palo Alto, Los Alto Hills, Hillsborough, etc. mainly south of SF commonly referred to as the Peninsula. Back in the 1980s the poor part of Palo Alto was expelled to create its own city East Palo Alto which was the city with the most crime in the bay area, while the richest live in Palo Alto near Stanford.

The funniest like about these rich people is they vote every looney law yet they never leave their gated castles. Their latest cause is Restorative Justice which can be summed up as "Won't somebody please think of the Thieves & Murderers?"

And given the mass exodus from CA over the past few years, who in their right mind would want to buy a home in CA anyway?

The taxes are the some of the highest in the country. Crime isn't prosecuted in many areas. Local and state gov'ts are forcing you to outfit the home with horribly inefficient green products to enrich their friends at your expense. Bad weather in CA isn't just bad... it's biblical bad... fires, earthquakes, monsoons, mudslides...

I looked up California's population stats. During 2021 and 2022 combined, only a drop of 1.2%. Population still higher then it was in 2015. That's not a "mass exodus" by any definition.

Wow!! That is amazing. Stealing somebody's home and occupying it illegally for 5 years and it becomes yours. Unreal. You know how short is five freaking years?? Squatting should be illegal. If I bought a property, it's my right to decide what to do with it. If I leave it empty for no matter how long, as long as it's not under any lien and its property taxes are being paid fully, nobody has the right to touch it. If they do, then it's breaking and entering and trespassing. If the property is abandoned and the property taxes are not being paid, then it should revert back to the government and becomes government or state property. At no point in time could it ever all of sudden become anyone else's private property just because somebody found it to be empty and was occupying it.

You should see the articles of people who have to pay the utilities used by these squatters.

Yes I can imagine. It's not their house after all so what do they care. I have seen some Youtube videos where the squatters try to bar the rightful owners from taking their property back by claiming they are the owners. It's ridiculous!! And what appalls me is that the police that accompany these owners are so polite, still giving the squatters time to pack their s***. I have never seen police being so polite before. These pests are supposed to be thrown out on their a$$ and their s*** out on the street immediately. They are the ones who are in the wrong and yet they are acting like they are the victims. LOL

I would just go in with my shotgun and say that if I count to five and they still don't move, they are going to be shot. They are trespassing in my home and I have my right to protect my property.

Where is Harris County, California?

“…The ownership company says it has filed eviction papers, but our experience covering these squatter stories shows sometimes it can take six months to a year for the eviction process to work through the court system...” Six months is crazy!

After paying the property tax and upkeep? Counties usually attack nuisance homes and parcels.

Even in Libertard Canada, I can't believe the crazy news from California I see on a daily basis. At first, I thought these woke laws had to be a 'joke'. An exaggeration, it had to be hyperbole, even the idiotic American government couldn't be this woke. Such a dystopian society can't possibly exist, can it?

And then... reality sets in. This is the 'everyone gets a trophy' generation materializing (except for the evil straight-white male).

Cops can't even do their jobs anymore because no one wants to offend BLM criminals. So, the answer is to decriminalize crime. LOL!

Record high immigration into Canada is creating more problems for Canadians in an already strained housing market, financial analysts are warning.

Canada is on track to take in 447,055 immigrants this year and 451,000, according to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), an increase over its previous projections. IRCC says Canada will take in 500,000 immigrants a year starting in 2025.

This could have dire consequences for housing and employment, those in the financial sector say.

Vancouver-based Robert Mogensen, a broker with the Mortgage Advantage, says such steep immigration targets would only make sense if Canada’s housing capacity was already meeting Canadians’ needs—but it isn’t.
