Omicron: Natural immunity idea ‘not really panning out'

I've blamed the educational system. The generations are dumbing down with time.
Letting contagious [NOVEL] diseases, like what we've seen recently, just 'do whatever they do.' Will, did, and does lead to overwhelming medical resources, among other things.
That alone is reason to get vaccinated ... in a sane society.

While everyone is frantically pointing out how the vaxxed people can still get the virus.
THE FACTS (NOT ANECTDOTAL EVIDENCE OF CIRCLES OF FRIENDS) reveal that the vaxxed have a much less impact on hospital resources.
The question we'll eventually be asking while searching for that silver lining, is whether the Dunning-Kruger effect had enough impact to improve the overall sanity of the population.

And indeed to that point...The more people that get tested for the thing, the higher the "case rate" will go.
We've all seen the lines out the door for people wanting to get tested since Omicron was detected before the holiday rush. So for 2 months we have seen nothing but daily reports about testing shortages, because EVERYONE wants the damn test.
Was this happening around Halloween? No. Why? Because we had the thing beat. Right?
No. If all the people who got tested since Omiocron came onto the scene had gotten tested at the end of summer? I bet my bottom dollar that we would have seen the spike then that we are seeing now.
Just because you get 3, 4, or 20 fucking shots into your body, you can still get the virus into your bloodstream. If you happen to get a test of your blood/mucous membranes/whatever right before the test but right after you get the virus into your body, you're going to test positive for the virus!
The antibodies do not work at the speed of light to kill the virus! Especially with the nasal swab! Anyone ever have a booger in their nose? If the virus is lodged in yer booger but no longer in your bloodstream, and you get a nasal swab, well guess what. You will probably test positive.
This is one of the few common-sense things Trump said during the COVID panic of mid-2020. He said something like "Well, we need to slow down the testing so the case rates go down."

The only value to case numbers is eventual herd immunity (reduction in risk of death).

Why would I get vaccinated for something I already had and recovered from? Makes no sense.
I keep saying this over and over again. When I got the original covid in January of 2020, there was no Covid-19 vaccine available. It took 8 months after I got covid for a vaccine to even be approved.
When I got delta, there was no delta-specific vaccine available.
When I got Omicron, there was no Omicron-specific vaccine available, and there is still no Omicron vaccine available.
If you get this stuff early enough in the curve, there's no help available. You just have to plow through it. Period.
