OEC dead in the water this AM?

FYI I notified them Sunday night around 10 PM that I could not enter a trade. They told me to try again in the morning, so the problem was known as early as 10 PM Sunday. Not sure why 8-10 hours went by with OEC doing absolutely nothing to fix the problem.

Quotes down is a definite problem, but not being able to even close positions just sucks. I may be switching to tradestation fronting RJO Futures, I ended up hedging my OEC positions there.

Quote from brocklanders:

They should just dump this new version / undo what they did since Friday and go back to what was working. Three days in a row of problems is unacceptable, especially since they happen right around 9:30-10:00 which is the the busiest time (coincidence?). I hate the new logo anyway.

It's funny I've bitched and moaned about IB's problems, but they've never had a problem like this. Maybe IB should send their one QA tester (not counting their customers who do the real QA) over to OEC to explain how testing is done?

The inability to rollback the change is absurd.....I worked on a production trading system and you always have a rollback procedure.

i have'nt been able to log in / connect (for hours now) to even get quotes let alone a chart....

....i've given up even trying for the day

Wow. deja vu all over again. 4 days in a row and counting. When are they going to get a clue and stop this nonsense??? Message to OEC: undo your changes and go back to pre-upgrade system. If you cannot do this you have no competent planning when forcing "mandatory" updates in the first place! 4 days of this is beyond the pale.

They are saying now that the quotes are not lagging behind.

10:11 AM SYSTEM
ALERT: Update: Our quotes are no longer lagging behind the current market and orders are working fine.

Gee, does anyone else see the correlation here? These lagging data issues and outages seem to pop up during market open/high volume/big price movements/economic releases as just occurred today and has been occurring during each day this week from 9:15-10:15am. Now the move is over and the volume naturally decreases so the lagging issue subsides. They have not fixed anything since this all started on Monday morning.

I feel much better knowing that this will only affect my account during increased market volume and volatility.
