Neanderthals vs. "Science"

So all your post proves is that universal mask wearing drove a decline in RSV. This is good news; masks not only reduce Covid and the flu but also reduce RSV.

Read the text carefully from Yue Stell Yu:
"I have found no study so far that supports that claim. Instead, multiple studies, like this one, say a decline in RSV illness was linked to universal mask wearing."

Your ability to ignore the commentary in the tweet to see only what you want is astounding. Allow me to reiterate the relevant piece:

Despite CDC RSV tracking data debunking this notion entirely... given the fact that RSV is surging where masking is prevalent.

If masks were responsible for skipping winter RSV, why did they stop working?

There is not a single study showing that masks are causing RSV -- in fact ALL the studies show the opposite. Now that mask use is less common and many mandates have been dropped -- both RSV and the flu are increasing. There should be no surprise about this. In fact RSV is increasing the most in places that have lower mask use.

And another swing and a miss.

Masks aren't causing RSV, clown. They aren't preventing or causing anything. That's the point.

Masks -- as shown in multiple studies -- prevent the spread of RSV and reduce the infections in a community.

Let's take a look at the claim the Twitter thread was refuting "Zachary said a children's hospital told him mask wearing is what led to a surge in RSV."
