Can you imagine how bad Covid would be without proper public health measures in place in many locations. Flu is significantly less infectious than Covid. Western countries that implemented proper public health practices to mitigate Covid generally saw flu infections drop 95% or so world wide for 2020/21 flu season.

Reminds me of the argument around the whole prediction the Obama administration had on what unemployment would have been had we not spend billions upon billions of dollars of waste. "Can you imagine how bad it would have been??"

It would have been the exact same, because most of the measures have no effect despite the witchcraft and sorcery you push.
