Sorry, apples to oranges comparison. Gun control as suggested by Nancy Pelosi is not an emergency and we have the 2nd amendment in place. I doubt any future US President can just claim national emergency and get anything declared constitutional for that matter! Take note, the President of the United States is tasked to secure the US border! That is one of his duties. President Trump in trying to secure the US border is just doing his job! Now, you may not agree with the method, however, he is left with no choice with the Democrats and even RINOs stonewalling him at every turn! I support this move because the extent of the power of the President of the United States over securing the US borders needs to be resolved the sooner the better! If President Trump is successful, Democratic Presidents if they refuse to secure the US borders can now be sued based on any US Supreme Court ruling as the precedent. If he fails and a Democrat President takes over, we do not have to worry for long because we will become the United Socialist States of America and turned into a third world shithole in short order by the Democrats! Their open border policy will easily flood the US with tens of millions of foreigners who will take over everything and demand every benefit they can think of!

We have the we have the 2nd amendment in place and a constitution that states congress controls the power of the purse in place as well.The 2nd amendment also says guns can be regulated.

Care to show me statistics to support your "facts" on immigration?

As for guns, you have to remove all those killed with illegally owned guns (like gang wars) because no laws you suggest would address those. So no "National Emergency" could be implemented to stop them.
