Agree, for me 9k this past month is good, which is still chickenshit... I should be trading size in this volatility.

Example: I posted here January 24th TVIX one year high volume but only made a few k trading it from 60 to 940.

99% of ET members can only dream of making $9K a month.

Terrible advice/ tip... Disagree 100% with this statement! Ones entry is the most valuable component of a trade that dictates the entire trade from concept to completion! Sloppy entry equates to a sloppy trade... When one is correct on entry, the trade management portion is on point as well as the target & trailer... I can`t emphasize this enough!

I don`t believe in critiquing ones MO/ methodology, as to each their own... as one needs to trade according to ones personality traits & phsychology makeup but this one variable of the trade sequence that can`t be stressed enough!

In my 24 yrs of trading, regardless of it being firm money trading Equities, OPM, Options, Exotics, Crude, Put Writing or the Indicies ES & YM... My entry is my most valued trade component & I`ve worked extremely hard at perfecting this art form because of it`s value
in dictating the entire trade sequence!

Like Iv`e said, I don`t usually critique but when you`re on a forum offering expert advice as
a sponsor, their is some editorial/ author responsibility here!

My respect to you mister.

Fyi i sold most inverses premkt to lock in profits, plus bought TQQQ, by 7:30.... glad I sold before the drop..whew

Lesson learned tip: futures were mixed overnight and premkt gaps were choppy, up just a bit so I sold

Your trade journal is useless UNLESS you also show the open position too !!!

Why are you ONLY showing those trades you have closed with fantastic profit?

Why are you not showing ALL your existing positions ?!?!?!?!?
How about those open positions? Are they in deep Green, or deep red?


No point showing great actual profit and we don't know if the remaining positions are suffering from huge paper loss or huge paper profit.


There are many cases where traders showed great actual profit.
But then they have lots of open positions which are in deep shit and they
don't disclose those open positions.

No point actually earning hundreds of dollars
when we are sitting on thousands of paper dollars loss from those open positions.

and Don't boast !

There are some traders who only close position when it is in profit.
But then how about those open position?
They don't close it at all until it is profitable. But then
They might be sitting on millions of dollars paper loss!

Alternatively don't bother to post your trades.

There are quite a few traders over here who have traded way before
computers were around.
and we have been through all the horrific crisis and lost thousands of dollars.
So we know what is really happening.
