Suggest you go with both cards being from the same "line". If you try one of each, have a backup or image of your hard drive. Conflicting video drivers can really make a mess of your system.
FWIW... last summer I got a new computer which had a 7300 GS video card. I immediately sold it on eBay and replaced it with a 285x16 and 280 PCI... had to use that combo to keep my TV Tuner card happy.
