Add about 25% to our current GDP, lower the debt by about the same, and our overall level of political strife would be much lower.

Blacks would be happier as well. They would not live trying to attain the unachievable by playing victim, a society mirroring a white western nation. They could just be themselves a la Ghana or whatever.

I married a southern gal so I have been well versed. I am sympathetic to the argument and agree that slavery was not the only issue, but I am not convinced it meant nothing at all.

In any event one thing is clear to me after being raised in the north and lived in the south. What I see in the north is just a more hidden version of the south, neither wants to live with large numbers of blacks. Even in the uber-liberal bay area there is a high degree of segregation. I have lived in mixed neighborhoods here in ohio and there were black parties and white parties. Blacks and whites may find ways to not be at each others throats, but no way are we the same animal.

And these are the daughters of the President of the USA or some random garbage in the Hood? Wonderful... Does anybody even know what their names are ? Seriously, I didn't until yesterday when I heard it on the news. And I've already forgotten it. I don't want to remember their names. I won't be surprised if they'll trash the White House and steal stuff when they leave, like the Clintons did but ten times worse.

Since they look so black, act so black, then hopefully they will take their father's lead and marry black. Then by the next generation any trace of White genetics from their grandmother will be gone forever. They will become just another breed of welfare moms.

The American founding fathers are rolling violently in their graves at what their country has become.

I have found what you say to be the case, also. In the 1970's, the Chicago band Styx, recorded "Southern Woman". I was told by a Michigan gal I dated that she felt southern men were "good" and they "loved their mamas"..............lol. But true enough, it knows no boundaries, and those trying to appear self- righteous and sanctimonious on this issue makes me laugh.

wow.....yeah they look like just your everyday American black teens. We can always hope that maybe they will grow up one day to reject the cultic socialist/totalitarian views of their parents.

Well my southern lady has style and charm, she treats me very well and I appreciate her openess and honesty. We have not had any meaningful problems for at least a few years.

Of course she has talked about race, she has experienced some pretty obnoxious events. The thing is that when we discuss it I have found that there isn't much difference between her views and most northerners, the difference lies in how it is expressed in public. Sometime when you are Boston check out how white that place is for a big city. They can afford to be race-liberal, they don't have to put up with the same crap as Atlanta. In Chicago the race tension is palpable. Whites in Palatine will talk privately about blacks the same way anybody else does, but the public political scene is something else. There is something dishonest about that, it has an Al Gore-like quality to it.
