No problem. If you read over the thread you will see that I actually complimented Echo and said both firms are in the same class and have comparable deals. Someone asked about 80% and 90% payouts and I was responding to their posts that Bright has a higher payout. I was not directing that comment at Echo.

I gave Don a lot of grief over the years and only posted this thread to give him some credit.
 
Echo's terms are a bit better. Bright has considerably more upside on leverage and has a local office. I would give the edge to Bright on balance sheet, by a wide-margin.

It really depends on how you trade. I trade larger size blocks so my share pricing is going to be between 25 and 30 bps. That's about the same as Echo per their advertisement. I agree though, for a "small" trader who trades less then 1k shares per clip, Echo probably has marginally better rates for that trader.

That's fairly up there. Are you planning on holding overnight or on hopping in and out for the most part during RTH?

Those numbers were for intra-day. Overnights will be smaller. But those are much more selective. And they will be held for weeks at a time.

I recall your mentioning ETFs earlier in this thread. I don't trade either them or stocks, so I know little about their relative strengths or weaknesses compared to one another. What is the attraction of ETFs besides specific sector exposure as compared to individual securities or indexes?
 
At least Maverick could allow Don to come on here and comment on these claims. Of course, there will not be traders from Don's firm on Elitetrader or traders who admit they are from Don's firm. If someone comes on here saying they are from Don's firm then there are conflicts of interest and maybe even Don had them sign a routine confidentiality agreement. Plus, its business courtesy not to jump on a site and reveal the inner workings of what goes on at the firm you trade at. If you owned a firm, would you appreciate that?

I think Maverick should invite Don to this conversation rather then posting it up behind his back.

Not sure if you noticed, but Don has posted on this thread and I assure you, Don reads EVERYTHING on here and he is free to post anytime he wants. And I'm sure Don loves the exposure he is getting. I posted here as a favor to him since I gave the guy a lot of shit for years. Although I believe I have always been fair to him on here.
