Matcha's Dow E-mini Journal

Paulaner@Fan Yang Road is the best Paulaner and the first popular hangout place in Shanghai I think. Now it's still very popular! You probably have seen me dancing at the first floor. I always sit in front of the band and close to that tiny dance floor...:-P

Haven't seen the ERA yet! Maybe next time! For jazz music, Me and my gf used to go to Grand Hyatt Jin Mao PuDong Piano bar or the inside dance club a lot. ..Those old party girl days... Party hard everyday.
But I guess that place is not that popular anymore. So many new cool hangout places now.

Sis, you know so many places in Shanghai! I am jealous again!

Yes! Sweetie, i know it's You when i see a "Super Hot" girl dancing at the first dance at Paulaner@Fan Yang Road.:D :D i like the Piano bar at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao too.. ahhh... it's so relaxing! :)

Matcha, You must, must go and see the ERA this time ... don't wait till next time! it's a superb fantastic amazing show... it's "ancient" & "model" combined to bring~out the best chinese acrobats...ooh it's so beautiful!:)
i am sure 100% you'll enjoy watching ERA!

Matcha ... don't foget to go visit the World Expo Shanghai 2010.. i went there 3 times including the opening-ceremony. i'd seen many beautiful fire-works in USA and Europe but the amazing beautiful and dazzlingly fire-works together with the theme song echoing ligh-up the sky in Shanghai and fireworks exploded over Hungpu River really blowed all of us out of our minds ... it's so amazingly beautiful till we almost fainted lol.:D :D

Well, i also love views where i eat, so i really don't mind crossing Salisbury Road from The Peninsula to join you at Lobby Lounge, International Hotel for Tea and Black Forest ... but are you paying or am i paying huh???
Do we have to "fight" again with our "kung-fu" ??...
.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you come to Sausalito, I will treat you to McDonald's. If I go to Hong Kong, of course it is YOUR treat!!!! ;)

jk

Per Chinese customs, whoever makes the invite will pay la...
.....

Actually I have an even better idea. Indeed let's fight with our kung-fu when the waiter brings us the bill. We will knock him unconscious so we don't need to pay at all! :)

Hey Matcha! Congrats on things. Glad to see things are still progressing.

Just curious what horizontals you're using on that chart now?

PP, FIB, S&R ? Anything I miss? Looks like a very intriguing chart so I figured i'd ask :).

BTW: I'll add a few more if you don't have them. Daily S&R levels (Longer term), and previous days High and Low.

Matcha is on a plane over the Pacific Ocean now.

She had indicated in past posts that they are daily pivot lines (e.g. PP, S1, R1, etc.) drawn automatically by TradeStation.

"I heard engineers and lawyers are bad traders. Becuase they want "certainties". In trading, there are only "high probabilities"."

I think in general engineers make better traders than lawyers and doctors (many my colleagues and friends are doctors) if they have a good intuition about market functioning, because of the math training and the nature of their work (designing model, optimize parameters and test them in reality and to make it works finally) provided them with some edges. But again, any one who has a good intuition about the market behavior and a solid understanding of math should be good at trading after years of hard working. NoDoji has very good intuitions and a good grasp with numbers, so it is natural that she gets to become consistently profitable so quickly.
By the way, I was in Hong Kong last week, visiting a lot of relatives, enjoying seafood and taking the kids to the Ocean Park. The last time I visited Hong Kong was 10 years ago, and this time is more fun.

i think if he/she only has good intuition and good grash with numbers doesn't automatically make him/her a GOOD TRADER! Many traders are CP but if he/she only make enough money for him/her to cover living expenses, then a Professional in any fields can make more money and more rewarding if you're talking about dollars and cents.

Good you're visiting your relatives again after 10 years?? my friends come to visit me in Asia every year. You and your family should visit Hong Kong more often..i think Hong Kong is always fun to a Cantonese person.
Have a Good Day, 888. :D :D

Thanks.
Yes. I plan to visit Hong Kong and Guangdong more often in the future as my kids are growing up so traveling from US to Hong Kong and China is much easier now.

Took one trade today. Market opened gapped up. Then consolidated for one hour. 5 min chart was bullish. An outside bar was formed on 5 min chart at 7:25am. Market failed to move below YTD high, then stalled at R1 level and tried to break to the upside. On top of that. $TRIN traded below 0.6. $ADD above 1800, price meet MA and R1 level which added more odds into the long trade. On 2 min chart, price formed a “W” bottom.

I entered on the W bottom as a pullback trade. I set up the target at today’s high and next resistant area. Obviously, I was out too quickly, I only nailed half of the whole move…

Trade 1: 32 points
Today’s PnL: $157, 1 trade
Done for the day. Hong Kong is very hot!
