understand now? my dear brother ... :p :) :D

Last Friday’s bullish move into the close set a bullish tone on the market. Today market gapped open then retraced down from the major resistance area.10660. Although it retraced back. The trend on the larger time frame is very bullish.

I only take pullback trades today. Volume did not support a nice smooth trend up. So I was basically stopped out either for a small loss or small profit.

First long trade at 7:00 is a “W” bottom pattern on 2 min chart after a fluid sell-off at the opening. Strong buyers stepped in here.

Second long reentry was a higher low on a bullish swing, stopped out for a small loss

3rd long entry was long on a breakout pullback trade, A tiny pullback signals the up move could be strong. But I was stopped out again.

Trade A: Break out pullback trade. Pullback to the major resistance level signals a very bullish buy. But it didn’t go too far as expected. I was chopped for only 13 points gain.

Today’s PnL: $48.00, 5 trades, 60% winrate

Couldn’t think of anything I did wrong today. Just can’t get too much out of it from today’s market. Especially with my one contract and conservative stops. The volume doesn’t support the move. I am heading to the airport tomorrow morning. So no trade. FOMC meeting tomorrow. Even though I were to trade, I would be very conservative or just watch the market!

Happy trading everyone~~ Talk to you guys in Hong Kong!

Of course! I continue to learn things from you. You are my sifu. That makes you Matcha's sifu's sifu. Or grand sifu! :D

(It sounds like Matcha might be catching a flight over the Pacific by now...)

I love views where I eat. Would you mind crossing Salisbury Road from The Peninsula to join me at the Lobby Lounge, Intercontinental Hotel for tea? Probably no dan tart or eggette. But Black Forest perhaps? ;)

Nope! i don't want to be 'grand sifu' or Matcha's sifu's sifu ..i'm a care~free person, so i just want to be a fun~ loving friend.. that's all i want!:D :D Yeah... Matcha should be flying above the Pacific ocean now.

Well, i also love views where i eat, so i really don't mind crossing Salisbury Road from The Peninsula to join you at Lobby Lounge, International Hotel for Tea and Black Forest ... but are you paying or am i paying huh???
Do we have to "fight" again with our "kung-fu" ??... last time, even i used "albert ~ einstein ~ theory" also no use!! .. You too smart and too strong!!.. i got bruises all over my body lol. :( :D :D

Hi Matcha,

Yes, Langham Place/Hotel became my favorite place in Monkok. Best indoor shopping in the area. They have lots of good places to eat and shop inside the complex. From top to bottom through the long escalators. It is quite a place. There is a very nice CD store on the top floor.

Trading book - I started reading this very interesting book that I bought a while back but haven't touched it until now - Trading in the Zone, by Mark Douglas after browsing some of NoDoji's journal. NoDoji recommended it and it must be good! I just finished 2 chapters (total 11 chapters) and can't put it down. It is definitely a good book. It's kind of like a trading 201 class, after you have done the trading mechanics and methods classes. I think it will help me to move a step forward to be the type of trader I want to be - disciplined, focused and confident. He emphasizes on adjusting the attitudes and beliefs about trading. He wants you to truly accept the risk of trading and thus no longer be afraid when you pull the trigger. He works on trusting yourself.

Happy trading to you too!

Its the trader's bible. Also the Market Wizzard. I enjoy reading Market Wizzard more since at some point, it's encouraging.

Got to build up a method first then trust it. Building up and retesting it's result is what we are doing now.

haha sweetie,..We, 2 sisters like to go to the same places/bars like Paulaner@Fan Yang Road with my friends, especially my american friends, they like the authentic german sauerkraut & sausage and the beer. I prefer to sit at the booth upstairs which are more comfortable.:
...

Sometime, i am old-fashioned, so i like to go to the endeared, legendary Jazz bar in the "Peace Hotel". I also like the "willow stream spa" there too :) i like going to the little ancient town "Qibao" for old chinese street food and little ancient water town "Zhujajiao".. i just love looking at the old unique bridges across the bubbling streams and small rivers shaded by willow trees.
Very beautiful and peaceful feeling. :)

matcha, have you seen the "ERA" Acrobatics Extravaganza Show in Shanghai? I always bring my american friends to watch the amazing extra-ordinary acrobatics show when they visit me in Shanghai and they loved/enjoyed it so much!.:D

Gosh!.. there're so many wonderful things you can do in Shanghai, no wonder you're fully booked and no time to trade..
sweetie.. you have a great time in Hong Kong and Shanghai.:p :)

Paulaner@Fan Yang Road is the best Paulaner and the first popular hangout place in Shanghai I think. Now it's still very popular! You probably have seen me dancing at the first floor. I always sit in front of the band and close to that tiny dance floor...:-P

Haven't seen the ERA yet! Maybe next time! For jazz music, Me and my gf used to go to Grand Hyatt Jin Mao PuDong Piano bar or the inside dance club a lot. ..Those old party girl days... Party hard everyday.
But I guess that place is not that popular anymore. So many new cool hangout places now.

Sis, you know so many places in Shanghai! I am jealous again!

Right on! That was a very good call!

In the past 2 weeks the volatility has been very low. Perhaps the only thing you may have done better is to set the original entry as the stop but not trail it. Dow/S&P were in very tight range.
