Liberals - Why do you support Globalism?

you can sell 100 widgets for 1 or 50 widgets for 3 dollars?
Oh, so now you also automatically know the exact elasticity of demand on an as yet unidentified product? Please, jem, donate your brain to comedy. Clowns are standing by to take your call.

those were hypothetical examples. it did not matter which values I picked to the core argument. It did not matter whether the numbers in the example prove me correct. What matters is that I illustrated what I was telling you.

If your currency is stronger you do not necessarily create a trade imbalance.
your thinking was and is deficient and I just showed why.

you answer about tariffs is too binary. I understand it... but
tariffs can help.
We, as in the US, already have tariffs, I pay them every day. You can look them up, simply google "harmonized tariff schedule united states" and start working your way through the various commodity classes.

In case you're wondering why my company would pay US duties, sitting in Canada, the answer is twofold. 1) We have manufacturing in the US which imports parts from Canada, Mexico, and beyond. 2) We typically act as non-resident importer of record on behalf of our US customers who want full-service delivery to their site, aka delivered duty paid (DDP, for those who know incoterms).

For the record, I don't personally support globalism, per se, but I did want to point out that those criticizing its negative consequences should remember that the process is a natural result of capital seeking a return. If you don't like it, and want to change it, then you're arguing that we should mitigate the harsh edges of capitalism. Welcome aboard!

Yeah, but some people want to have their cake and eat it, too.

Why do you support globalism at the expense of America?

Open borders? Offshoring American jobs? Higher taxes and regulation for business? Importing Muslims who hate freedom, gays, and oppress women?

Why do you support policies that hurt America and Americans?

Serious thread.

Willful ignorance ?

it seem every time you lose another argument argument here, you come up with a new picture.

you and stu also have the same annoying habit when you lose arguments. you start taking peoples quotes out of context and then replying to the out of context argument.

instead of attempting to reason your side or admit you were wrong to found a silly picture.

you are a troll.

This is someone trying to explain economics to you:

You're the one on the right.
