Left skew , being on the wrong side of IQ

Thanks for your due diligence Mav.

Please have more than 5th grade math before YOU judge people to be less intelligent. You are born to the very modern and rich country of the USA, but you say your math is no more than of 5th grade. YOU say white people have more intelligence, but YOU say you only have 5th grade math level. Please whats happened to your intelligence genes and your luck of to be born in USA? Do not cry poor Phoenix. You are so superior with your genes and to be born of the USA, so why you only have 5th grade math skill?

I've had about enough of your personal attack in lieu of substantive arguments on the subject of the veracity of the black /white IQ gap.

(unrelated to the IQ discussion)
I'm not a chess player and correct me if I'm wrong in my perception.

You seem to give the impression that the expert player analyses all moves or as many as possible in the allotted time.

This is definitely wrong, that specifically is the mental strategy of beginners.

You're right... The expert player does not analyze all the moves in the allotted time that would be impossible considering the probabilities! Even a computer would slow down significantly... The expert player does focus on a set strategy though and does analyze the moves with the highest statistical probabilities for success...!

Then there’s Magnus Carlsen who can do it all without set strategies or better yet strategies that he just makes up with his creative powers. It’s amazing how he sees the game. Hell, he doesn’t even use the opening theories and just plays by the seat of his pants so to speak! That’s what I mean by “high processing power”!

How to explain this so that everyone will understand…

Genetic IQ is like the processing speed of your CPU… It doesn’t deal with socially learned things.

Now that might sound stupid to you but let’s look at two examples:

One is the game of chess…

http://www.chess.com/forum/view/daily-puzzles/912012---abstract-mating-idea

The solution to today’s puzzle (9/1/2012) is 1. Qxf6, exf6 2. Ne8, Ng4 3. fxg4, Bxe4 4. Nxf6#

I usually solve these puzzles in less than 2 minutes due to the fact that they’re all pretty easy and usually involve a queen sacrifice!:D Anyone can learn the rules of chess. Once you know how to move the pieces it’s all up to your processing power and imagination. Despite being a very cheap game to play Africans who make up a significant part of the world’s population are not very good at the game.

The other is mathematics…

Let us say that a chess genius is tested in math against a lower IQ individual. They’re both presented with a dA/dt (change in area over time) problem involving the relationship between the area of a triangle and its angle.

Now they both know that A=1/2absin(theta) in this case but there is a difference… Our dumb person has learned the derivatives of trigonometric functions while our chess genius does not know that d/dxsin(theta)=cos(theta)…! Our dumb person will benefit from his learned social knowledge and score higher! However, the answer is deceiving… Once our chess genius applies himself to the study of math he will score much better than the dumb person on all future tests.

So if massive amounts of educational resources are invested in lower IQ people then they too can learn! However, that's unfair to the rest of us who had to learn the hard way without any support. It's also unfair that we've been targeted for "cultural elimination" because being white and smart is inconvenient to America's future!

I don't know why the characters are screwed up in this post...? They weren't when I first posted it...

Hmm? And in your "modern" world of IQ superior people, they can not remember the telephone numbers of their friends and family in their mind. They only push the button.

LOL... True... We're sliding into the abyss of stupidity no doubt about it!

right, it's not just about learning, it is about useful synthesis of new results from that knowledge.

Most people don't challenge themselves to the point where they reach their cognitive limits, but when they do it become quite clear who has the most natural processing power. I have an undergraduate degree in math, the levels of talent were very noticeable even though we were all putting in the same time and were 'nurtured' the same. People like Isaac Newton are simply better equipped.

Memory is an important function that I have not purposefully tried to develope, but I think people like Kasparov do. Memory by itself though is useless, there are plenty of savants with exceptional memory but can't put it to good use. Kasparov uses memory to visualize many chess moves into the future and devise a strategy. It took IBM several iterations on their deep blue supercomputer to beat him. You cannot nurture the average person to Kasparov competance.

The nurture argument is way overdone in my opinion, and has become a political tool for blacks to get more money. I was one of 6, my blue collar parents had no time to nurture anyone yet by second grade the teacher was using me for a math grader of the other students since I took the workbook home and did half a years worth over a weekend all by myself. The older I get, the more people I know came from broken homes and yet they showed very good cognitive application. So what is it exactly that black mothers are doing wrong? We know dad isn't around, what exactly are the black mothers doing to hold their kids back? It's all another politically correct pile of crap.

There's no flattering choice: They cannot accept that a genetic cause is at work and and recognizing crappy cultural/environmental causes isn't esteem boosting either : Therefore the tests must be wrong and if the test are not wrong it must be inherent racism in the ether that's the problem.

So all they have is denial or :

One out of six...? AND you managed a math undergraduate degree...? That must have been tough for you!

LOL, I wanted to get out of my parents house so bad that I thought working summers and school was a pretty decent gig.

Basically my family grew up like a wolfpack, mother and father just herded and brought home a carcass now and then.

Phoenix Trading, explain why you have only 5th grade math of knowledge. If you have some superior gene, what is happened? Hmm? And cooltrader explain why you have so much intelligence for the math but you come to ET to talk about your fear of "inferior" people. Why do you care so much? Please use your genes to help the world, and not talk on the ET about "inferior" people.
