If women who are "braindead" (more like brainwashed) are the "main culprits" than how could a father of a young 14 year old daughter give his daughter to another man to have sex with and do as he pleases? How could a man who has a 14 year old daughter, have sex with someone elses 14 year old daughter? It is not about not having protective instincts, it is about truely believing you are doing the right thing in gods eyes becasue someone has convinced you it is so. Like Turok said, some people are more susceptible to brainwashing than others. Turok was not so susceptible. I do see how you cannot believe people let these things happen to their own children. Do not forget about the young teenage boys who are cast out of the only society they know becasue they do not conform to the rules of the elder men. These young boys find interst in young girls (very normal and natural) and the elders feel threatened by the competition of younger boys for the affections of the young girls. So sometimes these young boys are dropped off on a street in a town outside their compound and the only world they have ever known, and they are left to survive with no skills. All becasue the elder men want many sex partners, and when a young boy competes for what they think they own(young girls) they throw them out like a peice of garbage.

We (young males) were not allowed to have *any* interaction with the girls of the cult that wasn't sanctioned and supervised. Our lake had "girls days" and "boys days" when it came to swimming etc. We couldn't talk to them, we couldn't write letters to them.
I remember like yesterday the moment and place that I decided that I was leaving the cult no matter what it took.
I was 14 and I was walking down small paved road between compound buildings. Coming up the road was a 13yo girl by the name of Betsy Fuller. She and I had grown up together on this compound (and others like it). As we met, she put her head down and went to to her side of the road -- I did the same. Not a "Hi" or "Hello Betsy" or a squeak.
She had this look on her face like "please don't get me in trouble ... please don't say anything to me". She was frightened to death that I was going to get her busted (I had a bit of a reputation of not giving a shit about being in trouble).
I said to myself "what sort of dumbass rule is this?". I've grown up with this person and we can't even exchange greetings? I will have no more of it.

That is the bottom line, men wanting lots of sex from many women(children). But think about what your solution is. To put the women in jail? Why? You know many of these women were once a child of 14 made to have sex with the old man right? And these girls (now grown women) have children of thier own from many different men. Many don't think they have been abused becasue it is the only way of life they know. And they think it is good to have their young daughters (accepted) by these old men as their wife. This acceptance of their daughters is proof in their eyes that they have scored points with god. Really what this is is victims who create more victims unknowingly.
I want to correct a part of the above. I said "these girls now have children of their own from many different men" That is not what I wanted to say. I meant these girls have many children from men who have many different wives.
