No. What is being questioned is did the law have the right to go into the compound and take the women and children for questioning.
A phone call was made from a 16 year old girl claiming to be in that compound who says she was beat by her 50 year old husband.
This was the catalyst. CPS (child protection services) responded to the call which they classify as Priority 1 meaning it is given priority because a child is in danger of being hurt or dyeing. CPS has 24 hours to respond or they are held accountable for any child who was hurt or dyed because of their failure to respond.
Now some say the call was a hoax. We don't know if it is true or not about this hoax, but when CPS went in, they did not analyze that call first to see if it was hoax, but they took that call as real, and did their job, as they are suppose to do.
Ratboy questions the constituitonal rights of the compound people if they have been violated. Ratboy isn't defending pedophiles.

Ratboy also questions if the compound was raided due to genuine concern about abuse of women and children, or was it just made to look like that was the reason for the raid so mainstream america gives support for the raid , but maybe the reasons behind the raid were more about oil fields near that compound that Warren Jeffs (one of the founders) has some executive rights to. So ratboy is questioning if the constitutional rights of the polygamist sect were violated to benefit oil people.

actually.. oil is not high on my list of reasons they went in. i think the locals have been freaked out since day one.. and have put pressure on sheriff doran for most of the YFZ ranch's existence.

Ok, locals only know at first that this land has been bought, then developed in a very short time frame. Locals also know it is gated and secluded from the rest of the people in that area. Then locals begin to hear that this could be a polygamist sect which allows sex with children and enies women and children their rights. And they were alerted to this by Flora Jessops who is an ex member of this cult who openly speaks of the abuses within this cult. That is evidence that there is child abuse going on.

don't quit your day job. :eek: these are the same types of people that believe that wmd's were in iraq and tora bora had a sophisticated underground bunker used to mastermind 9/11..... all because the media told them so.

So it seems you do not agree with polygamy or child abuse, but what you are saying is you do not believe polygamy and child abuse is happening in these compounds. You are saying you believe it is all media generated. Are the testimonys of ex members a conspiracy by these ex members to help the media create a lie? Are ex members who have not been susceptible to the mind control of these cults and speak out against these cults, the types of people you refer to that also believe in wmd in iraq. Ratboy, you must consider the source.

I have to laugh, (not at you) It wasn't a matter of "if" it was a matter of "when" the subject of WMD, 911 and Iraq would be brought up in this thread. I could smell it coming a mile away.

Joe Sixpack does not believe the media. Kids and young adults do not read the paper, other critical adults read the news with intelligent discourse. The media writes for the media. Tv news is reported (as a primary source), so the print news will have something to write about.
We have seats in the bleachers, watching the carnival of dunces.

Ratboy, we will say you are right. The media created a frenzy about this polygamist group so to justify thenpolice raid so that american people will not question if it was right or wrong to go into that compound, but will gather in support for the police actions. And all this was done becasue people of the town don't understand a group of people they know nothing about, and because of an oil interst. Lets say that is so. So they invade this compound for reasons other than child abuse and polygamy (but mainstream america does not know this), but now they do have the proof of crimes against children and women because they have gone to the inside and found it through DNA and testimony. So where does that leave us? All it says is the media created a frenzy so police could go inot a compound ( for interests other than the polygamy and childabuse) BUT polygamy and child abuse are occuring and will be stopped.
No one did anything about it before....but now that oil or towns people are involved, the job gets done. So maybe the (motive) is wrong, but the justice it will serve is the same.

i am not saying what is going on in the ranch.... i don't know yet. i am waiting for credible evidence... then i will agree with prosecution. but i can tell you that kidnapping 400+ kids will never be justified.
