Just to prove gun control nuts are full of shit

Quote from RedDuke:

Gun controls is a tough dilemma to crack.

Few things that come toy mind would be, banning gun shows where people can buy guns with cash and virtually no paper trail, making background checks mandatory on national level. I own a firearm and reside in NYC, it was not an easy process to get a permit. But I think it is totally warranted.

Next, make a permit for 2nd, 3rd and so on a lot more expensive than first. I own 9mm Luger pistol and this gun is way more than I need to defend myself and my family should a need ever araise. Also, in NY the clip can not hold more than 10 bullets. I just fail to see why one needs 3 guns or more to defend themselves.

Next, automatic rifles, like the one used in CT, should be absolutely banned.

The steps above would not have prevented CT tragedy, but the body count would have been a lot less, no doubt. Imagine it, 10 or more of those kids and adults could have been alive today should the above steps have been the law of the land.

He didn't use an automatic rifle, and I think you mean semi-automatic. He used 2 pistols.

So if he took one pistol with a lot of ammo, this would have been prevented- yeah right.

Mav, don't start confusing the liberals with the facts. That's not playing fair. :D

The Daegu subway fire was a mass murder on February 18, 2003 which killed at least 198 people and injured at least 147. An arsonist set fire to a train stopped at the Jungangno Station of the Daegu Metropolitan Subway in Daegu, South Korea. The fire then spread to a second train which had entered the station from the opposite direction a few minutes later.

The arsonist was Kim Dae-han, a 56 year-old unemployed former taxi driver who had suffered a stroke in November 2001 that left him partly paralyzed. Kim was dissatisfied with his medical treatment and had expressed sentiments of violence and depression; he later told police he wanted to kill himself, but to do so in a crowded place rather than alone. By most accounts, on the morning of February 18, he boarded train 1079 on Line 1 in the direction of Daegok Station, carrying a duffel bag which contained two green milk cartons filled with a flammable liquid, possibly paint thinner or gasoline.

The Happy Land fire was an arson fire that killed 87 people trapped in an unlicensed social club called "Happy Land" (at 1959 Southern Boulevard) in the West Farms section of The Bronx, New York, on March 25, 1990. Most of the victims were young ethnic Hondurans celebrating Carnival.[1] Unemployed Cuban refugee Julio González, whose former girlfriend was employed at the club, was arrested shortly after and ultimately convicted of arson and murder.

Worst Domestic Terrorist Attack in US History: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing. 4/19/95. Murder accomplished with a rental truck full of fertilizer based explosives. 168 dead (including many children in an onsite day care).

the point is that they will find a way, and often that way is worse. I don't want unstable people to have guns, nobody does, but strict gun control will not stop them if they are determined to cause harm.

Where did I say that this could have been prevented? All I said that, there could have been less casualties if he had only one hand gun with limited clip capacity.

The latest I read, most victims have been shot via rifle. He used the hand gun on himself.

Apparently from what I am reading, he might also have shot his mother in the face while she was still sleeping...

I am liberal on many issues. I am a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment and a gun owner/enthusiast myself. It just makes sense to me that people must pass background checks before gun permit is issued. I went through the process in NYC and it ain't that bad.

right, that's sort what I meant and it didn't come out right.

I don't agree, I think the guy offed himself long before police came, he simply did it when he felt he had done enough. It would be curious to see if he used up his ammo.

Had he wanted maximum damage, he would have taken the bushmaster inside with him.

Duh...YES

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The salient question to ask is: "does the presence of guns make murder more likely?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so if this lunatic has have gone in there with a kinfe.....you think he could have done that damage that quickly? He would have kileld what 1 or 2 possibly? Without agin I doubt this little sh** coward would have even attempted it.

Guns do make it a lot easier for nut jobs to do "their thing" much fast and deadlier.

If the gun nuts have their way we'd all be armed up like John Rambo and it would be fine! You need some control and what you have now obviosuly isn't working is it?
