1) The hand grenade had better be inert with the explosive removed which renders it a non-grenade. Like most knives, they are not designed to kill but can be easily used for that purpose. Your argument is mute. Hundreds more are killed by cars every day than with guns even though I would guess there are about as many guns as cars.

2) Hunt not kill people. Also, self defense is not necessarily to kill but to stop/wound/scare, etc. Besides, what they want to regulate are not the guns and knives used every weekend to kill a dozen or so Chicagoans alone. Maybe black people should be banned from owning guns? And, maybe abortion should be banned. It kills even more people every week.

Box cutters are used designed to cut boxes. Airplanes are designed to transport people. Fuel is designed to propel cars and trucks. Fertilizer is designed to use on plants and crops. Physcotic killers are resourceful if nothing else. So are criminals and if we ban guns you can bet your last buck they'll be manufacturing guns themselves, as will every other foreign country. We will see no drop in violent crime. None at all. The probelm is rooted much deeper in our culture of violence.

Bullshit. If guns were not available there would a tiny fraction of the amounts of deaths by murder and suicide that there is now. Period.

If this latest shooter's mom was not able to get the guns she had, this sick dude would have had a much harder time doing what he did. Period.

The fact that the gun-nuts can't acknowledge this, is the true stupidity here.
