Quote from kjkent1:
God could exist and be entirely responsible for everything. He just can't be measured -- that's why we invented "faith."
I still don't see any rationale for inferring the existence of God from the observations of the physical universe. But, that doesn't mean I'm right. I could be sitting on an eternal pile of hot coals someday. Or, maybe I'll just blow away in the wind.
Who knows...
Let's just say that the Son of God is responsible for this world, not his Father. The Father does not interact with it anymore than a father reacts to the dream of a child who is having a bad dream. Instead, he gently wakes the child so as not to frighten him any more than he already is.
The fact is, reality terrifies the sleeping Son, and if reality were imposed on him all at once, he would surely lose his mind. So it's a gradual process of millennium.
The physical universe mocks both the Father and the Son. It would obliterate and kill them if it could get it's hands on them. It serves to block light and truth, so what evidence for the true God would it provide for it's captive denizens? If ever any of it's denizens got a sample experience of the Son, they would leave in droves.
The reason there is this lingering idea of "hot coals" in the subconscious mind is because deep down, it is still believed that this is a succesful attack on the Father, and damage has been done. Because the Son is the same as the Father, it is sensed also as an attack on Self in every way possible. The consciousness that makes the maker of this world feels guilty as hell for condemning the Son, and makes the world to alleviate the heat while continuing the attack to the finish. The form of attack is legion. Take childbirth for example. How is that not an attack by design?
The consciousness that makes this world is like an alternate Self, limited by a lack of knowledge, and existing solely upon fiat of belief. It's all a trick of a very powerful mind. It makes decisions, whereas, in reality, there is no such thing as a decision. Four divisive decisions were made leading to the Big Bang(s) and a tree of divisive decisions leads to one's experience in the world.
A family tree is nothing. Rather, it's the decision tree that leads to your position in the world that matters. You are required to follow that tree back to the beginning, where decision began, in order to bring an end to this experience. The very first decision was about whether or not it's possible to be separate from the Father. A judgement was made followed by the development of chaos in a very logical, step by step order. This precipitated a descent into "hell", an awful conflict in the mind which begets first guilt, and then fear to cover it. The physical world arises to solve this problem.
My point is this. You are already sitting on a pile of hot coals. The good news is that the first decision was a mistake that can be corrected by acceptance of the truth: It is not possible to be separate from the Father, or for the Son to divide and change from One to legion. Thus, the whole universe is premised on a false belief, leading to a complex false belief system. Energy itself is entirely a belief in this new thought system based on separation. It is the evidence of fear itself, the agitated building block of an anxious world.
You will journey through cycles of birth and death until this truth is accepted completely without compromise. Now, a million years from now, the power of decision is in your hands. Pass by this truth, but you cannot pass it up. It will not pass away until all is fulfilled. Then the end of time will come.
Meanwhile, reality is so terrifying, that many will feel compelled to put the truth on ignore for a while longer.
Fear not. Reality is magnificent. It cannot ever hurt you.
