Impeachment is a formal charge which was done. It is not impeachment only when they are sent to the Senate. Article 1 Section 2 Clause 5 of the Constitution says House shall have sole power to impeach.

Article 1 Section 3 Clause 6,7 provide the trial by the Senate.

So as per the Constitution, he is impeached because the House voted on the formal charge, like a grand jury indictment.

If Pelosi sends them tomorrow or in 4 months, he is still impeached, i.e. formally charged.

This is incorrect. The Senate has the sole power to try impeachments. Therefore, since they have no impeachment on which to act, there is no impeachment.
