I have abundance. You have abundance. Can you see?

You've been away for a few days? Good to see you back. Hope you are still in a good space.

Every now and again I find my focus slipping, so I took a week off to get my concentration back onto my charts, going through my notes, making sure Im clear on my strategy etc.

Funny, I'm in the middle of a similar thing, taking time off to get organized. Still trading but only if I see something really compelling. Which is sort of the way it should be in the first place. Then the "Aha" moment is allowed to happen.

I notice that if I don't take time to meditate and do something fun, even going swimming in the local Creek, I might as well just flush my money. It would be quicker and easier.

Unfortunately I dont attend any personal groups. Its very difficult to communicate this 'stuff' to people that are on different wavelengths.

No shit. Internet forums is always filled with self-righteous trolls and too easy to fall into the "OMG someone's wrong on the internet, gotta post"-trap. Very rarely do you meet open-minded and "calm" personas through online forums.

The shit's real, though I think you need to hit your personal "rock bottom", to gain perspective when the weights lift again. You also need the drive as a seeker, of truth, of love, of wisdom, of guidance, and even self-assertion etc. Whatever is important to You.

Someone who doesn't identify with such a process, which can span decades and a lifetime, won't recognize such and just see the superficial surface, until they do the "dip" themselves and cast off their own delusions and flawed assumptions, which maybe is what's hindering broader sight in the first place.

There are methods, through yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, knowledge work, with proper instructions and guidance, but it can take 10-20 years of devotion and selfless focus on action, and very different blocks for different people. Nobody can tell you what's your meaning of life.

A trader can hum and sit crossedlegged for days on end visualizing only wins but the losses still come. Maybe best to visualize losses then winners will come?

Haha you two crack me up :D

@volpri You are baiting. I'll bite. Maybe you will be a challenge.

Your paradigm is obvious my friend.

You are associating meditation (in parody form) with losses. Why? Have you tried and failed in the past? Now you're trying to be the cool kid on the block through mockery? Why did you give up so easily? Was it too hard for you? btw you should try and associate mediation with winners it might change your perspective.

OR

You havent even explored the very thing you are mocking in which case you are embarrassing yourself from a position of misunderstanding.

So which one are you? Give up easily or just like to argue about things you know nothing about?

For me it's the difference between normal losses from trading, which are unavoidable, and self sabotage. It's a thin line. Many times I've caught myself only reading the market one way, to realize I've been locked in on only one view. This means I'm no longer thinking creatively. There's more than one way to access this place. Last night I was doing some internet surfing, and ran into the author Henry Miller. I did not realize that he also was a prolific painter. His work really stirred something in me, mostly the simplicity and uniqueness. The process of discovery is central to life and trading.
